*****NEW FARM INFO*****
***Early Access Land Unlock Guide***
At just after 3AM this past Monday we entered the Early Access week of the new GROOVY HILLS Farm...If you are one of those Early Access Players then you were greeted by the typical 2 square land and 2 square water landing area...In case you're wondering the order of the earned land expansions...our first one will be directly under the landing area to the right...and the next to it's left...also under the landing area...our third and fifth expansions will be on water with the remaining earned expansions on looks like there will be 9 total earned expansions...
***Permanent Coin Items***
Image may contain: indoor
As a bonus treat for the past several farms, or several dozen farms, we get more than a few COIN ITEMS thrown into the market.  We have 2 new hay bales,  a Hippie Hay bale that actually looks either tie-died or moldy, and we have a Daisy Hay Bale that is rather unique looking, we suggest checking it out for yourself.  We have a colorful Serene Tree, a Reggae Croc and a very freaky Rodeo Meerkat.  There's a Hunky Gorilla, that looks a wee bit feminine.  There's a Lumberjack Chop which is a gnome chopping WOOD.  There's a midwest Canoe for a water deco,  and we have a really cool mid-west fence covered with ivy and a pennant fence covered with sports pennants.  Both are great for decorating.  We have a BoHo Tile, a Hippie Cycle and a Hippie Gazebo.  And just in case that wasn't enough, we have a FLOWER CHILD BUSH, but, at least it's a nice little bush and not a naked hippie gnomette.Click here
***Farm Cash Sale Poll of the Week***

This past Wednesday we had our expected FARM CASH SALE.  Every new farm brings this sale on the Wednesday of Early Access.  It's a simple and easy way to get 40% more farm cash for your hard earned dollars, and just as it's tradition for Farmville to have this sale it's also tradition for the Dirt Farmer to ASK if you were going to participate in our POLL of the WEEK.  It seems this sale still has some interest from players.  With 48% saying they will buy during the sale, another 38% say they will not buy FV Cash during the sale, possibly because they do not buy FV Cash at all...and another 14% say they are Undecided.  In years past this was the very best deal on FV Cash.  Since the introduction of the VIP subscription program, many players now get their Farm Cash from that monthly program.
This coming Tuesday we can expect a new Farmstand feature to start.  The Venezian Mansion Farmstand will once again give us 21 days of great rewards.  We have a 4 trees to start us off. Yes, the first 4 days are trees.  We have a Peacock Masked Tree, a Diamond Check Tree, a Blooming Hibi Tree, and a Maschera Tree.  Next we have a Venetia Cat, then a Di Venezia Gnomette and even a Joker Monkey, after that we have a Gala Duck, a Romantic Arch and a super creepy Gala Meerkat.  We have a Cross Stitch Balloon and a Gala Cow.  There's a Venice Boat and a Carnevale Peacock. There's an Italian Garden, a Venezia Fountain and a Bellissimo Phoenix.  There's a Venetian Tunnel that looks like it may be a new type of deco, a neat little arched walkway, there's a Carnevale Deer and finally for the horse lovers: There's a Silver Mask Pegacorn and a Ravishing Horse and he has a rose just like on The Bachelor.

Our LIMITED EDITION CROP CHALLENGE this week will require us to harvest 6000 Underwater Treetoppers.  Despite it's name this is a LAND CROP and it will take 23 hours to grow.  It can be planted on any farm and it should be in the market at the regular update time roughly 13 hours before this challenge starts.  Our LOCKED CROP CHALLENGE will see us harvesting 300 Dotted Mushrooms.  This is a Groovy Hills Crop that will take 4 hours to grow.  The CRAFTY CHALLENGE will require us to make 12 Avacado Ice Lollies.  Avacado Ice Lollies is a 4 hour Crafting Tent Craft.  It requires 3 Blanket Flower Bushels, 3 Breaded Pumpkin Bushels
and 3 Hippie Jewels Bushels per recipe.

***New Farm Info.  We Mean The Next New Farm Info***
Image may contain: text
We are not even a full week into the new Groovy Hills farm, and we've already told you all about the next new farm's theme, right here on the show last week.  Now we can confirm the name of our next new farm.  It will be called Opal's Kingdom and looks to be a spin on a Little Mermaid or Finding Nemo type underwater theme.  That will have Early Access starting on February 27th, possibly March 6th, depending on how they stretch the farms this year.
***Community Goals***
In just a few hours we will have a re-set to our COMMUNITY GOALS...This coming week we will be asked to Collect 8 Million Peace Pebbles in the Sunflower Silo...WOW...That's a lot of Peace Pebbles...But have no fear...You will only need 130 in order to qualify for the Fuel, Super Fertilizer, Turbos, UnWithers and Free Fuel for 3 days on Groovy Hills...hmmm...that's free fuel as the reward for 2 weeks in a row

*****Friday the 13th*****
As if Friday the 13th wasn't stressful enough on the timid and also took it's toll on FACEBOOK this past week...for approximately between noon and 1pm Eastern Time this past Friday the 13th...Facebook was down and unavailable to all of it's 22 Trillion Users...We are not sure if this was an outage or a scheduled universal maintenance...or maybe Zuckerberg heard all that news about Golden Showers this past week and got a wee bit wee happy in the server room...or maybe it was all due to Friday the 13th.
***Flash Poll***
Since it was Friday the 13th we decided to find out just how many of you are superstitious
...It seems only 15% of you are VERY SUPERSTITIOUS
...37% say they might be just a wee bit superstitious
...48% say they are not superstitious at all
***Land Expansion***
No automatic alt text available.
Once Upon a Winter isn't over yet...We have an Earned Land Expansion heading our way in just a few hours...Just after midnight here on the east coast you can acquire the SLIPPERY SLOPES region of the Once Upon a Winter farm...You will need to Upgrade Noel's Castle to Level 9, Unwrap 30 Mystery Presents in Wishmaker's Post Office, and Reach Once Upon A Winter Level 69.
***Gifting Event***
With each new farm we most likely get at least TWO Neighbor Gifting Events.  In our first, we will be sending our neighbors the Painted Art Horse for 5 farm cash for each one that you send.  We will receive a Free Spirited Deer in return for our kindness and our Farm Cash.  This event is scheduled to start this coming Friday.  But, as we all know, sometimes the FV Studio may reschedule this type of event.  We will let you know when it goes live

***Groovy Hills Beat Requirement***

Before it even really starts, we can already tell you what you will need to BEAT the SNOT out of the new Groovy Hills Farms.  Four tasks stand between you and your Beat Trophy and Shipping License.  We must Expand the Spring Fair through level 10.  That's your Centerpiece Main Buildable.  We must master all of the Groovy Hills crops to 3-Star.  We then need to Make all 15 animals in the Peaceful Stables.  And finally Improve the Crafting Tent to LEVEL 5, and the Crafting Tent is, of course, your crafting cottage for the Groovy Hills farm.  There are rewards along the way, such as Groovy Points, Un-Withers and Insta-Grows.  But our ultimate goal is the Beat Trophy that comes with the Shipping License to Groovy Hills.
***Return to Once Upon A Winter Month Long Quest***
This past Friday saw us RETURN to Once Upon a Winter before we have even left.  It is called CHAPTER 9-A.  Why it's not Chapter 10, I just don't know.  But we will see 12 stages of fun, and most players should still have all of their bushels from this farm, so it should be easy.  YOU WILL NEED A 5 STAR SNOWY TOY SHOP IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THIS QUEST.  GLOWY RADISH AND WATER HYACINTH BUSHELS WILL TAKE 23 HOURS TO GROW,  those are your longest crops that you will need crafting bushels for.  You will need to make 23 Snowy Toy Shop recipes to complete this quest.  Your rewards include a Tinsel Wrap Tree, a Snow Arch, a Snow Queen that is a snow woman in a fancy dress, a Snowflake Fairy Gnomette, a Festive Capybara, otherwise know as Rudolph the red nosed RAT.  We have a Crescent Crown Wolf, a Winter Chic Dog, an Icicle Dragon, a Winter Squirrel Family in a tree, an Ice Guard Gorilla, Giraffe Ice's eating ice cream.  7 scoops and a cherry on top, and finally a Frosted Leaf Pegasus
***Groovy Hills Chapter 2 Quest***
Monday will be the start of General Access for the new farm...and with that we will see the start of Groovy Hills Chapter 2...The title is called "Searching Barry" which led us to believe this may be the FV Studios way of honoring the FV song master Barry West...But it seems this may be a typo since the character of Ricky Berry is spelled B-E-R-R-Y...But, enough of that...let's talk about the quest
...Get a jump on that crafting by making 3 Cucumber Roll Ups and 3 Coconut Clusters in the Crafting Tent...FLOWERING DOGWOOD BUSHELS will take 16 hours to grow and LOTUS JELLO BUSHELS will take 18 hours to grow
...Our rewards include a Denim Cowboy Duck...a Pitchfork Farmer Chicken...a Peace Scooter VROOM VROOM...There's a 60's Belle Cow...a Hippie Eye Peacock and finally a Purple Peace Horse

Here’s the link to this week’s podcast, because don’t you really want to listen to all of it after reading the summary?
We all know that playing Farmville isn't getting any easier these days. Whether Farmville is throttling  access to your friends or the  Facebook newsfeed is hiding them from you it's hard to find help links on the newsfeed.  Add that to the fact that a lot of fellow players have quit and it becomes very challenging to  find help.  That's why you should join one or all of the Dirt Farmers SHARE Groups. Mam-Maw's Trading Post, Quest Help and More, The VOTE HELP Group and GOT SHEEP are link sharing groups where you can find neat items and even get help with common FV activities.  We also have several helpful groups such as The Dirt Farmer, Farmville News Network and others! Be sure to ASK to JOIN today and please tell your FV friends about these helpful resources.

In the meantime, we hope you will visit our website as often as possible.  Your support and your clicks on that website is what enables us to provide our services to all the players. Share those posts from our Facebook page so we can reach even more players, so we can help them manage their game and stay in the game. Without YOUR support there is no Dirt Farmer.  Thanks to each and every one of you!

That's all we have right now, remember to always visit Ask the Dirt Farmer for up to date information and help, and enjoy the rest of your week!
