This week started off with a big ole bad BANG...Player were finding themselves unable to post anything of Facebook because they have been BANNED for posting too fast...In fact we believe this is yet another miscommunication between games and Facebook...It seems that images from popular games get posted...a lot...of course...Any game you play requires that you post almost everything for almost everything you need in the game...Remember what the newsfeed looked like in 2010...there had to be a TRILLION FV posts a day...But...years later the Facebook algorithm seeks out and identifies these posts as OVERACTIVE...classifying them as MALICIOUS...and BOOM...you got a BAN...

Snowy Double StatueSnowy License

This past Tuesday we saw the release of the DOUBLE SNOWY POINTS Statute for 225 FV$ and the SNOWY TRAVEL LICENSE for 150 FV$
The Double Statue is very helpful for moving up your SNOWY POINTS total in order to get the level up rewards and to qualify for the Earned Land Expansions.  Buying the SNOWY TRAVEL LICENSE is a quick and easy way to enable yourself to move items from your ONCE UPON A WINTER Farm to any other Farm that has a license, without having to BEAT that farm.  Which is not as easy but it's FREE.

In this weeks POLL OF THE WEEK...The Dirt Farmer wants to know: Would you be more likely to purchase Early Access to new farms if Zynga offered land discounts of 30 percent or more during early access week? Zynga recently offered land expansions at a reduced cost during Early Access on Carnival de Los Muertos. Many farmers purchased these land expansions in order to decorate, or just to have more room to farm. Would you be interested in seeing such an offer on future farms?
55% say that YES, INDEED...They would be more likely to plop down that 45FV$ if they knew they could get some discount land.
36% say they already ALWAYS buy Early Access and this wouldn't make a difference.
9% say they do not ever buy EARLY ACCESS and that this would not make a difference

With Sunday night’s 12AM re-set we will get a new set of COMMUNITY GOALS for the new Once Upon a Winter Farm.  A chance to earn UnWithers, Super Fertilizers, Turbo Chargers, Fuel and the grand prize of NO FUEL NEEDED for 2 days on the new farm.
All we need to do is open 120,000 Treasures on the Snowy Farm, and that's a lot of Treasures.  But, fear not intrepid farmers, you will just need open 3 in order to qualify.  But feel free to contribute as many as you can so we can all meet this goal.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to our WINNER of last Week's BATTLEGROUND Once Upon A Winter Buildings & Treasure Parts Challenge (week ending 11.27.2016) Debbie Vollmer. This Week's NEW Challenge is TIME TONICS. The reward for the winner of this Challenge will be a Papa Dirt Prize: your choice of ANY Unwither Ring or Double Statue from the Market. If you are not a member of the Battleground Group JOIN TODAY and invite your friends.

We just can't get enough CANDY SUSHI, and we all just can't stand it when we miss getting our FIX because that means we don't get the reward for that week. Hopefully everyone will get their GLOMMER DUCK.  Next week we get a shot at a CHOCOLATES CHICKEN from the 2014 Cupid vs Anti-Cupid Vote Feature.  After that we get a shot at Pierre The Giraffe, a giraffe wearing a santa hat.  Many of you may remember this reward from the DISCOVER CARD QUEST from waaaaaaay back when.

Tuesday will see the release of a brand new FARMSTAND to help keep us busy in our GAMING WORLD.  Each Farmstand brings you 21 days of easy to earn rewards and the HANDICRAFTS FARMSTAND is no exception.  It seems this will be a CRAFT FAIR type farmstand with rewards being themed to be HAND CRAFTED ART, or so we are led to believe.
Let's check out the rewards:
We start out on day one with The Masked Tree, which looks like a tree with ZULU warrior masks hanging all over it.  We get another tree on day 2, an Artist Palm Tree which looks to be a tree full of painted OPEN HANDS, that’s scary!  We have a Chair Crafter Gnome who must want a job at WICKER WORLD.  Then another tree, but this one is strange.  It's a Popsicle Mushroom Tree and it looks as odd as it sounds.  The Assorted Designer Pots is a cool DECO that looks like a shelf with pots on it.  The Button Wheel Bicycle is being ridden by a DUCK!  Bunny Pots is a bunny, in a pot, he's not smoking pot! The Eternal Bloom Pyramid is another odd deco.  We have a Turkish Mosaic Lamp that can be used by decorators. The Artsy Ornament Dog is wearing a pretty fuzzy bonnet.  There is a Button Bowl Fountain and a Sea Shell Fish.  There’s even an Elepaint Elephant and it's PAINTED!  There is a Flower Pot Scarecrow and we have SQUIRRELS!!! , or rather a Squirrel Treat Basket.  There is a Fan Tail Peacock and a Paper Bloom Hamster.  A Fluffy Felt Sheep and a Crochet Rainbow Pig.  We have an Origami Parrot on a STUMP, not a stick as usual, it’s on a STUMP. Finally we have a Dream Catcher Pegasus.  So let's review this Farmstand:  We can earn 8 Decos...3 Trees...5 assorted critters...2 rodents...2 birds and a PEGASUS IN A MACARONI and CHEESE TREE!

We got a hint about a new feature option on the farm this week:  STENCILS..  We've all seen that elaborate hay bale art that some farmers can create.  Farmville is going to make it easy for farmers to learn how to do this with a new STENCIL option.  It's as simple as it sounds.  You can place a pattern over your farm and then fill in the blanks with hay bales.

***What’s Hump Day Without Leaderboards?

Wednesday will see a brand new re-set to the popular LEADERBOARDS feature.  The leaderboards are an easy way to earn Insta-Grows, Un-Withers and Super Fertilizers.  This week's LIMITED EDITION CROP CHALLENGE will require us to harvest 6000 Jewel Flowers.  The Jewel Flower is a 23 hour crop that can be planted on any farm.  It will be in the market at the normal update time roughly 13 hours before the leaderboard begins.  Our LOCKED CROP CHALLENGE will see us harvesting 300 Green Crystal Pear plots.  The Green Crystal Pear is a 6 hour Once Upon A Winter crop.  For our CRAFTY CHALLENGE this week, we will need to make 12 Wooden Yo-Yo's.  The Wooden Yo Yo is a 8 hour Level 1 Snowy Toy Shop Recipe for which you will need 3 Green Crystal Pear, 3 Elf Lettuce (water crop) and 3 Icy Carrot bushels per recipe.

UPDATE! UPDATE! HEADS-UP FARMERS! With the latest enhance, Zynga changed the unlock date of the next Once Upon A Winter Farm FREE expansion "FROZEN LAKE" from December 5th to December 12th. Most likely because we already get a free home area on ICY TARN on December 5th and otherwise we wouldn't have gotten an expansion on the 12th.

Speaking of our EARNED Land Expansions.  We get another TWO-FER this week.  The GREAT PUMPKIN has decided to grant us the ability to open the UNDEAD OUTLANDS expansion and all you need to do is reach Level 87 on the Carnival de los Muertos Farm.  This will be our last Earned Expansion on this farm.  Not to be outdone, We also get THE ELF ON A SHELF'S consent to unlock an ICY TARN expansion.  Well,  at least the LANDING SQUARE.

Now, we are talking a lot about this ICY TARN.  I think we need to talk about that.  On December 5th, 2016, the FarmVille Studio will release the Icy Tarn - the second region of the Once Upon A Winter farm. Just what does this mysterious cloud covered land entail? New crops, new terrain, a rather complicated Christmas feature, interactive decos and more.
It appears that both Early Access and General Access players will be able to visit the Icy Tarn on December 5th. Those who purchased Early Access to the first region will be rewarded with an additional package of goodies for doing so. Let's take a look at the rewards for Early Access players first.
Rewards will include an Ice Cold Starter Pack featuring animals, building parts and a tree.
Early Access players will also receive a Jingle Bell Chicken and a Holiday Wagon.  The new terrain for the Icy Tarn will be called SNOW. Similar to Story of Sakura's Zen terrain, there will be animals, trees, crops, buildings and decorations that can only be placed on the Icy Tarn section and it's snow terrain. We will be getting 8 new crops to master on the Icy Tarn, all of which can only be planted on snow terrain.  So we can probably expect more than a few of these needed in later chapter quests.  It currently appears that the farm cash vehicles, including the combine that was included with the early access package will work on the new snow terrain, but the coin ones do not appear to work there.  We will know for sure after the ICY TARN goes live.  Your Unwither Ring that is earned from the Wishmaker's Post Office will work on the entire farm, land, water and snow.
There do not appear to be any early access exclusive crops in this region, despite code referring to them.
You will be able to put your Icy Tarn trees and animals in pens and orchards on the Snowyville region that we had since November. You will not be able to put them on the ground on that side, only on Icy Tarn. You will also be unable to place pens and orchards on Icy Tarn.
The 8 new crops on the ICY TARN range from a 10 minute Chocolate Strawberry to a 48 hour Angel Flowers Crop.  And with the PUPPY COME HOME coming to an end, We have a new SISTERS of JOY feature starting on ICY TARN.

In the Sisters of Joy Feature we will be joining a trio of fairy sisters, named in different places as the Wand Sisters and the Wing Sisters on a magical journey to unlock interactive decos and win prizes.  The Icy Tarn region will host three interactive decorations that will harvest for a consumable currency that you can redeem for your Christmas presents beginning on December 25. You can harvest the decorations as soon as you acquire them. There do not appear to be any alternate ways to acquire the consumables to redeem. There are no recipes to craft them and there does not appear to be any option to post for them. They are exclusively available via harvesting the decorations.  The first decoration is called the Winter Belfry.  It is on your home tile that unlocks on December 5th with the Icy Tarn.  The second decoration is the Fun Frolic Rink.  It is on the Fairy Farm tile expansion, the third unlockable expansion and is available for unlock on December 19th, as long as you have completed the required tasks.  Upgrade Noel's Castle to level 3, unwrap 10 mystery presents in the Wishmaker's Post Office and Reach Snowy level 33.  Or you can simply buy it for 24 FV$.  The third decoration is called the Winter Manor.  In an extremely odd choice on the FarmVille Studio's part , it is located on the Snowy Fields tile - our fourth Once Upon A Winter expansion which does not unlock until December 26th, as long as you have completed the required tasks:  Upgrade Noel's Castle to level 4, unwrap 15 mystery presents in the Wishmaker's Post Office and reach Snowy level 42.  If you do not wish to complete the tasks, or do not wish to wait, you can also purchase the tile for 60 farm cash.
Your Dirt Farmer team has reached out to the FarmVille Studio for clarification on the late unlock dates and if that was intentional.  We have yet to receive a response from the studio.
Shiny Ornaments, Holiday Cheer and Mistletoe Ribbons are the consumables we will be collecting from our 3 decorations.  They can be redeemed for 15 prizes.  We have a Holly Goodies Deer, a Snowflake Parade Horse, Golden Glitter Moose.   We have a Gift Bearer Llama for Bea.  There is a Christmas Costume Duck, Snow Time Cyclist, a Gifting Bird on a stick, a Friendly Baby Bear, Bloomed Pinecone Tree, a Chirpy Birds Tree, Queen Fairy Gnomette.  Just in time for the holiday innuendos we have a Hungry Beaver, followed ever so eloquently by a Peeping Santa Gnome.  Finally there are Chilling Penguins and a White Holly House.

Let us take a few minutes and talk about the upcoming SNOW FIGHT QUEST...that is the name of our next ALL FARMS Quest starting on Thursday Dec 8th and running for 2 weeks
...We have a new crop for this quest...You will need Snowball Flowers in Stages 3 and 5...The Snowball Flower is an 18 hour crop
...Be ready to GET CRAFTY...You will need to make 7 Winery Recipes...7 Bakery Recipes and 6 Spa Recipes for this quest
...Be sure to check out our HOT CROP CHEAT SHEET on the Quest Guide to see which bushels your Neighbors will need...A few for this week include Frozen Grapes, Gingerbread, Red Tulips and Ghost Chili...for a complete list...check out the guide or watch for our HOT CROP CHEAT SHEET post
...Besides the usual consumables that include a Book of XP you can expect 4 unique rewards...There is a Snow Ammo Tree...that's LOADED with BALLS...snowballs that is...there is a Snow Fighter Cow...she has a big ole gun...we have a deco called the Snow Fight...and it's just a gnome hiding behind a pile of show throwing a ball...I mean snowball...and finally we have a Challenger Horse...which is a horse that's wearing a pretty little fuzzy bonet...so I don't really know where the CHALLENGER comes in

Are you ready for the next chapter of Once Upon a Winter? Well, ready or not it will be here in just a few short hours.  Chapter 4 will kick off at sometime Monday.  There's only a week duration to this quest so be prepared.  Craft 3 Toy Jacks and Balls and 3 Animal Trains in the Snowy Toy Shop in order to leap over the first 2 stages.  You will need 123 bushels in total to get through the crafting, including 12 Elf Lettuce which is a water crop and 18 Tangy Turnips that take 16 hours to grow.  Rewards for this quest include a Snow Hood Gnomette that looks like Heather! A Peppermint Tree.  There is an Elf Ride Ram, and if it breeds it is gonna make some freaky lambs  We have a Frostbite Dragon, kind of an oxymoron there.  There is a now Feather Cow that looks like something you'd see if you were on a really bad PAYOTE trip in a native American sweat lodge and your teepee caught on fire. Finally there is a Royal Winter Pegasus, and if you notice, some of these critters have a very unique snowflake floating over them.

We all know that playing Farmville isn't getting any easier these days. Whether Farmville is throttling  access to your friends or the  Facebook newsfeed is hiding them from you it's hard to find help links on the newsfeed.  Add that to the fact that a lot of fellow players have quit and it becomes very challenging to  find help.  That's why you should join one or all of the Dirt Farmers SHARE Groups. Mam-Maw's Trading Post, Quest Help and More, The VOTE HELP Group and GOT SHEEP are link sharing groups where you can find neat items and even get help with common FV activities.  We also have several helpful groups such as The Dirt Farmer, Farmville News Network and others! Be sure to ASK to JOIN today and please tell your FV friends about these helpful resources.

In the meantime, we hope you will visit our website as often as possible.  Your support and your clicks on that website is what enables us to provide our services to all the players. Share those posts from our Facebook page so we can reach even more players, so we can help them manage their game and stay in the game. Without YOUR support there is no Dirt Farmer.  Thanks to each and every one of you!
