******* QUESTS *******

Carnival De Los Muertos Farm

The Carnival De Los Muertos Farm No Biz Like Showbiz Chapter 9 Quest started with very little warning this past Friday. Yes. This is our MONTH LONG 12 Stage RE-VISIT Quest for the Carnival de los Muertos Farm. We hope you didn't throw out all of your spooky bushels in case you want to do this quest. COTTON CANDY (Water Crop), DATURA SEED POD AND TOXIC PUMPKIN BUSHELS TAKE 23 HOURS TO GROW. You will need to make 26 BREWING WAGON recipes in total for this quest. The total number of plots needed to plant and harvest for this quest total 8700 without SMART QUEST, and 870 with that much needed short cut. Now, let's see if the rewards are worth the effort. We have a spooky Rocking Ghoul, a freaky Skull Flame. There's a Flying Skull Cave, but I don't see no flying skulls. There is a Dead Set Bull and a Bone Matador Monkey. We have a Dead Mutt Dog and a Scarlett Beast tiger-bird-horned thingy. We have a Man Plant Gnomette, which is just odd. There is a pink haired Gnomette Spinx and a Soul Goblin Dog, yikes. There is a Roach Horse, yes, it's really a cockroach horse, and finally a Pink Pumpkin Unicorn. It's PINK, and it has a pumpkin tramp stamp. We really cannot make this crap up. But Farmville did, and for that we THANK THEM!

Craft 3 Handmade Carousels and 3 Toy Jacks and Balls in the Snowy Toy Shop to get a jump on the first 2 stages of this quest. Keep crafting for your COMMUNITY GOALS. FarmVille Stars And Stripes Quest

It may not be July 4th but that will not stop FarmVille from giving us a STARS and STRIPES Quest, maybe is was a salute to the election last week. Maybe if Hilary had won they would have donated 100% of the proceeds to the Clinton Foundation, who knows, maybe we would have had a Monica's Cigar Quest, but, we have a very neutral STARS and STRIPES Quest that will start on Thursday. We will see a new Limited Edition crop for this quest. Star Spangled Barley will be needed in stages 1 and 4. This is a 23 hour crop, so if you are short on InstaGrows you may want to plant ahead. There will be a total of 11 Bakery recipes needed in 5 different stages, there will also be 6 Winery recipes needed in 3 different stages. But, You will only need your SPA for Stage 2 when you will need to craft 3 Marigold Lotions. DAFFODIL AND PINK ROSE bushels will be in high demand. They both need 46 hours to grow. Besides the usual consumables that includes a book of XP you can expect to earn a Yankee Flamingo, an Uncle Sam Gnome, a Sam Hat Sheep and an American Colours Pegacorn

Winter Sports Countdown

Tuesday will bring us another all new COUNTDOWN Feature. The theme for this one is NOT ONLY winter. But, Winter Sports. So let's check out the 16 days of frosty jocks
(REWARDS) We have an Ice Hockey Scoreboard which is a pretty cool deco, something new and unique. There's a Sporty Snow Tree that's full of PUCKS and HOCKEY STICKS for those Ice Hockey fans. The Snowmen Podium is nice. We have Gold, Silver and Bronze trophy snowmen on a deco. There is a Winter Games Tree full of big foam fingers and pom poms. Next we see a Speed Sledge Gnome, yes, it's another gnome on a snowmobile. I can't believe we have so many of these. The Snow Slide Cliff has penguins jetting down a luge, and the Figure Skating Monkey is actually prettier than Nancy Karrigan and Tonya Harding, so, that's cool. The Sledge Kitty Cat looks like it's about stupid with a pink safety hat. There is a Snow Luging Penguin that must have escaped that Snow Side Cliff deco we just talked about. The Biathlon Champ Bear was endorsed by the NRA. It has a big old rifle, HELL YEAH!!! We have a Ski Star Duck, a Snowboarding Dog, and, OH MY GOD. This one is for everybody's favorite winter indoor sport I guess. It's a Snack Buddy Beaver, dear Lord, But, on a positive note they have a really cool Sports Fan Raccoon, and he's drinking BEER. HELL YEAH!!! There is an Ice Hockey Polar Bear and a creepy Cheerleader Chimpanzee, who is prettier than Nancy Karrigan and Tonya Harding as well. If you are able to collect all 16 days of the WINTER SPORTS COUNTDOWN you will receive a Referee Pegasus

As you all know. The LEADERBOARDS re-set each and every Wednesday with a chance to earn much needed Insta-Grows, UnWithers and Super Fertilizers. Each week we get 3 separate challenges. This weeks LIMITED EDITION CROP Challenge will require us to harvest 6000 Circle Fan Flowers. They look like those little kid toys that spin in the wind, sometimes used as lawn ornaments. The Circle Fan Flower is a 23 hour crop and will be in the market at the normal update time roughly 13 hours before the leaderboard begins. Our LOCKED FARM CROP Challenge will see us harvesting 300 Christmas Grapes in Once Upon a Winter. This is a 6 hour LAND CROP on the new farm. Our CRAFTY Challenge will have us making 12 Miniature Gramophones. The Miniature Gramophone is a 4 hour Level 1 Snowy Toy Shop Recipe for which you will need 3 Bush Flower, 3 Christmas Grapes and 3 Diamond Cabbage bushels per recipe.

******* BREAKING NEWS *******

It may only be week 3 in the new Once Upon a Winter Farm, but we are already seeing clues as to what our next farm will be, and it will be GROOVY MAN! Yes. It looks like we are going to have an entire farm dedicated to a BOHEMIAN LIFESTYLE. It is going to be a psychedelic hippy farm, a blast all the way back to the sixties. From what we can tell it will be as bright and colorful as a tie-died tee shirt, and it will be so FUNKADELIC, maybe a wee bit freeeeeky deeeeeky!

We have a TWO-FER Earned Land Expansion heading our way in just a few hours. Last week we were able to unlock the HELL'S HOLLOW on Carnival de los Muertos and this week we get to ROCK ON DOWN to HorrorVille. Isn't that what we call FarmVille? To get the GREAT PUMPKINS consent to unlock HorrorVille you will only need to reach Carnaval De Los Muertos Level 78. Our Once Upon a Winter earned land expansion will require us to reach the new farm's level 15 in order to get Frosty the Snowman's consent to unlock Cottage Cove

Monday NOV 28th will see the start of our next COMMUNITY GOAL. We will need to craft 3.3 Million recipes in the Snowy Toy Shop. Your individual requirement will be to craft 30 recipes on your own. Besides the UnWithers, Fuel, Turbos and Super Fertilizers. We can expect to see NO WITHER for 3 days on the new Once Upon a Winter Farm if we meet this goal

As usual...We saw Locke playing the first few days of the new farm...and posting and sharing Dirt Farmer articles to help players...and when he does this he usually finds a way to stir up trouble...As many of you may have seen this week when he asked you all if you would want to see the TREASURE PARTS in Free Gifts prior to the launch of the new farm...We have seen the Farmville Studio GLITCH the treasure parts...some time ago...many many many past farms ago...The San Francisco studio made it so that you could only collect those gifts from your friends if BOTH of you were on the same farm...not a good idea...you would send out a thousand gift requests just to get 2 or 3 parts...The Dirt Farmer exposed this practice and it was corrected...We even saw the FV Studio forget to put the treasure parts in the free gifts once...Which caused all kinds of problems...No one could get more than 10 of each part per day...Very very bad...Now, what we're proposing...Just like the bushels are in the bushel swap prior to the new farm going live on Monday...Put the parts in the Free Gifts on Friday...let us get ready for the new farm...Build up anticipation for the new farm...We want to know if you think this is a good idea Click Here to let us know!

Speaking of the TREASURES...We have a list of all the hidden prizes you can earn. 34 in total. We have a Candy Postbox as an addition to your mailbox collection. There's Gift Balloon for your balloon collection and even a Holiday Arch for your arch collection, oh, boy, I'm gonna need more shovels to expand my storage. We have a Shard Dragon and a Gift Carrier Bison. There's an Elf Baby Mammoth that was probably left over from Caveman Club. We have a Glitter Snow Horse a Hairy Pony and a Winter Solstice Pegacorn just to name a few. For the complete list you can check out our post in our complete guide

The Daily Delights keep rolling right along, with or without you. This week is slowly coming to a close, so collect all those CANDY SUSHI to get your Pretty Holstein Cow, not to be confused with our old ugly Holstein cow. And be sure to DUCK!!! Because that's what we get this next week. Starting Monday you have a chance to win a GLOMMER DUCK. You may recognize the Glommer Duck from the April Showers Personality Vote. Yes. That was waaaaaay back in March of 2014. So if you missed it then, you have a second chance. Next week we get a shot at the Chocolates Chicken. Which is also a throwback from 2014. It was from the Cupid vs Anti Cupid Vote. You can also get your hands on Fuel, UnWithers and InstaGrows

As if we haven't had more than our fair share of issues with our much maligned GIFT BOX. It seems that this past Monday saw nearly every player getting disconnected from their FarmVille friends by Facebook. And, How you may ask do we know it was Facebook and not the game itself? Well. It seems this disconnect not only affected FarmVille. Not only affected other Zynga Games it also affected nearly every NON-Zynga games as well. What you have probably experienced is that you have to once again tell Facebook NOT to give you a POP UP for every single time you send every single friend a gift, or returning a gift request. This occurred during the first day of General Access and could have been much much worse. In the past, FarmVille required you to be friends in order to collect from each other and to help each other. The Dirt Farmer was instrumental in talking the FV Studio into releasing the friends requirement. Had the friend requirement still been in place when this disconnect occurred then every player would have been unable to interact with any other player for 24-48 hours.

Were CROP & CRAFT TIMES on your farm a HOT MESS this past Wednesday? Are Things ready FASTER or SLOWER than they should be? Your Dirt Farmer team saw reports of timing issues with crafting cottages, self contained crafting and crops starting on Wednesday. We did quickly report these to the FV Studio

Friday saw our first Sale of the Week. A 70% Off World Sale on ENCHANTED GLEN. Then on Saturday, just yesterday, we saw another 70% off world sale on Savannah Safari, well, kinda sorta. It seems that the FV Studio goofed a wee little bit and some items would not give you your discount, oh boy. It was a huge mess!

******* PODCAST *******

Here’s the link to this week’s podcast, because don’t you really want to listen to all of it after reading the summary?
Click here for an hour of entertaining farmville news!

We all know that playing Farmville isn't getting any easier these days. Whether Farmville is throttling  access to your friends or the  Facebook newsfeed is hiding them from you it's hard to find help links on the newsfeed.  Add that to the fact that a lot of fellow players have quit and it becomes very challenging to  find help.  That's why you should join one or all of the Dirt Farmers SHARE Groups. Mam-Maw's Trading Post, Quest Help and More, The VOTE HELP Group and GOT SHEEP are link sharing groups where you can find neat items and even get help with common FV activities.  We also have several helpful groups such as The Dirt Farmer, Farmville News Network and others! Be sure to ASK to JOIN today and please tell your FV friends about these helpful resources.

In the meantime, we hope you will visit our website as often as possible.  Your support and your clicks on that website is what enables us to provide our services to all the players. Share those posts from our Facebook page so we can reach even more players, so we can help them manage their game and stay in the game. Without YOUR support there is no Dirt Farmer.  Thanks to each and every one of you!

That's all we have right now, remember to always visit Ask the Dirt Farmer for up to date information and help, and enjoy the rest of your week!
