Runaway Bouquet Review

The Runaway Bouquet feature released to the game this past Monday. Much to the dismay of nearly every player the number of bushels needed to craft the Fruit Treats were excessively high. The FV STUDIO did give us somewhat of a break the next day by lowering the bushel requirements. This was great news to anyone playing this feature. The joy was short lived as we then realized that the Patterned Seashells, Queens Magnifica and Stick Zingiber Caveman Club Crops were not unlocked so they could be planted on other farms.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to our WINNER of last Week's BATTLEGROUND Caveman Club Building & Treasure Parts Challenge (week ending 07.03.2016) Maida Witthuhn Pullen. This Week we have a DOUBLE Challenge: PATRIOTIC TREES AND FRUIT TREATS. The rewards for the winners of these Challenges will be Papa Dirt Prizes: your choice of ANY Unwither Ring or Double Statue from the Market. Great News for TREE FARMERS. After a Tuesday ENHANCE the Many Clowns Tree, Mini Banana Tree, Light of Life Tree and the Orb Shade Tree are working properly and can be reproduced in the Orchards. It seems many of you had noticed that you could not reproduce these trees. The enhance hit very early Tuesday morning. We even had to wake up Locke to get a post made, and he's very GROUCHY in the morning.

If leveling up is your passion Farmville's double points Caveman Club statue is now in the market for 225 Farm Cash. Early Wednesday morning saw the release of the DOUBLE CAVE POINTS STATUE, and please remember that you can win any DOUBLE STATUE or any UNWITHER RING by participating in any Dirt Farmer contest.

The Dirt Farmer wants to know. How many hours a day do you devote to Farmville?
54% say they play Farmville anywhere from 1 to 5 hours a day
29% say they are still diehard players...staying on the farm for 6 to 10 hours a day
14% snort a few lines of coffee and chug a few red bulls and keep playing for 11 to 20 hours a day
3% of those polled or an astounding 50 players are farming for more than 21 hours a day. If you think that's bad, another 50 people say they'd rather not say. Could they be playing farmville 25 hours a day 8 days a week???

How to tell if your Facebook has been hacked, and what you can do about it. There are several different ways hackers use a breached Facebook account. Automatic logins through Facebook allow hackers access to many different site accounts once they've taken over your Facebook account. Spammers hack Facebook accounts to gain access to your following. Your account also gives a hacker a lot of personal information about you that can be used to steal your identity. If you worry that your account has been hacked, there is a simple way to check. Go to the arrow in the upper left-hand corner of your Facebook page and click on it. In the menu, select Settings. A new menu will pop up. Choose Security and then Where You're Logged In
A list of all of the devices that you've logged into and their locations. If there is a login you don't recognize, chances are you may have been hacked. If you see anything that isn't you, click End Activity on the right side of the log to end the session. The hacker will be logged out temporarily.
Some other ways to tell if your account has been hacked are:
Your name, birthday, email or password has been changed.
Someone sent out friend requests to people you don't know.
Messages have been sent from your account, but you didn't write them.
Posts are appearing on your timeline that you didn't post.

Facebook just made it a lot easier for users to raise money for the causes they care about. Several months after the social network launched a new "fundraiser" feature for nonprofits to collect donations, Facebook announced it has expanded the tool to individual users. Starting Thursday, users in the U.S. can create dedicated fundraiser pages to raise money for verified nonprofits. The tool is now available to 1% of U.S. users — standard for new Facebook products in order to gather feedback and make sure there aren't any bugs — but it will roll out to all U.S. users in the coming weeks.

Facebook employees will now be trained to confront their own political biases, after the social network faced accusations that employees prevented conservative news items from trending on the site. “We think a lot about diversity at Facebook,” Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer, announced Wednesday, The Hill reports. “And we have a managing-bias class that all of our leaders and a lot of our employees have taken that I was part of helping to create, and we’ve focused on racial bias, age bias, gender bias, national bias, and we’re going to add in a scenario now on political bias.” The addition of political bias training comes after the site faced criticism that the editors of Facebook’s trending topics feature downplayed news sources and stories popular among conservatives. A Facebook spokesman told The Hill that the training is mandatory for all employees. Many Americans get their news from Facebook, which maintains its neutrality. “We don’t have a point of view, we’re not trying to make you have a point of view,” Sandberg said.

At least 10 million Android devices have been infected by malware called HummingBad, according to cybersecurity software maker Check Point. Check Point, which has been tracking the malware since it was discovered in February, has released an analysis of the threat. For months, the number of infections were steady but they spiked sharply in mid-May. What makes HummingBad particularly interesting is the group behind it, which according to Check Point is a team of developers at Yingmob, an otherwise legitimate, multimillion-dollar advertising analytics agency based in Beijing. "Yingmob has several teams developing legitimate tracking and ad platforms," Israel-based Check Point said in the analysis released Friday. "The team responsible for developing the malicious components is the 'Development Team for Overseas Platform' which includes four groups with a total of 25 employees." HummingBad began as a "drive-by download attack," in which phones were infected when people visited websites. "The first component attempts to gain root access on a device with...rootkit [software] that exploits multiple vulnerabilities. If successful, attackers gain full access to a device," Check Point said. "If rooting fails, a second component uses a fake system update notification, tricking users into granting HummingBad system-level permissions." This access is used to generate fraudulent advertising revenue -- apparently up to $300,000 per month -- through the forced downloading of apps and clicking of ads.
But it's not just fake ad revenue at stake here because the group is able to sell access to phones and give away information held on them, Check Point said. The security company estimates that over 85 million smartphones have the group's apps installed, though only a small percent include the malicious software.

It's doubtful that anyone who created this malware will ever see jail time, but you will if you share your Facebook or Netflicks password. That's right. A Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling announced this past Wednesday officially declares that sharing passwords counts as a violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Both Netflix and HBO Go passwords fall into this category. And if you're not careful, getting caught sharing these passwords could result in jail time. This new law was set up as a catch-all for hacking, though in the past it has been widely used to prosecute behavior that wouldn't really count as hacking in the terms that we understand it to be. In this particular ruling from earlier in the week, former Korn/Ferry International employee David Nosal was accused of using a friend's password to access the research firm's database. It was deemed an unauthorized use of the computer system under the CFAA. Some are calling the ruling a 'nightmare scenario' for civil liberties groups. They claim that such a broad interpretation of the CFAA means millions of Americans are violating the federal law every time they share account information in regards to sites such as Facebook.
