Posting Issues Workaround From The FarmVille Studio.

Since the Facebook PUSH on 19th May, many FarmVille players have once again been plagued with posting issues. As of the FarmVille Enhance on 20th May, the FarmVille Studio has come up with a coding workaround that will allow us to post until Facebook fixes it. The workaround comes in the form of the above in-game pop-up, which links to this post on the Zynga Player Support site. As the link only covers two browsers, and some players are having difficulty seeing the images, your Dirt Farmer team has put together a guide for you with more information. Read below for details and please share.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NO POP-UP BLOCKING OF ANY KIND ENABLED IN YOUR BROWSER, THE CHANGES MADE BY THE FARMVILLE STUDIO WILL RESTORE YOUR ABILITY TO POST, WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO TAKE ANY ACTION. TRY TO POST BEFORE TAKING THE TIME TO GO THROUGH ALL THE STEPS.

As this post will cover several browsers, we will first show you how to search it to get to the information that applies to you and the browser that you use, without having to scroll through the entire post. To search this post or any web page hold down the key marked CTRL on your keyboard and press the letter F

This will bring you to a box that you can type what you are looking for into.
On CHROME, COMODO DRAGON, CHROMODO, SRWARE IRON, CHROMIUM, CHROME CANARY, VIVALDI & TORCH, the box will be in the upper right.

On FIREFOX, WATERFOX AND COMODO ICE DRAGON, the box will be in the lower left.

On EDGE the box will be left of center near the top.

On OPERA it will be left of center toward the top.

On MAXTHON it will be in the upper right.

On INTERNET EXPLORER the box will be left of center near the top.

How to do the workaround and restore your ability to post on CHROME, COMODO DRAGON, CHROMODO, SRWARE IRON, CHROMIUM, CHROME CANARY,  VIVALDI & TORCH.

Then Copy this red link
apps.facebook.com
and paste it where the #2 arrow is pointing. Make sure behavior is set to ALLOW

Finally click "Done" and load your farm. You should now be able to post again.

If you are using MICROSOFT EDGE, SAFARI or MAXTHON your situation is a little different. Neither of these browsers offers a mechanism to support pop-up exceptions. You can simply turn the pop-up blocker on or off. Depending on what other types of web-surfing you do, turning it off may not be a safe option. You will need to decide whether to risk it, or simply use a different browser until Facebook fixes the root cause of the posting issues. If you opt to use a different browser, there are links to several to choose from in the Dirt Farmer's Emergency Farm Repair Kit.

If you do opt to turn off  your pop-up blocker, here is how to do it. (Screenshots from EDGE)

Click on the THREE DOTS in upper right, then click on SETTINGS

Use the SCROLL BAR that the arrow is pointing to to scroll down until you can click on VIEW ADVANCED SETTINGS.

Then slide the dot to turn BLOCK POP-UPS to OFF.

Then, simply load your farm and post.

Click on the GEAR in the upper right then INTERNET OPTIONS

Click on the PRIVACY tab then SETTINGS next to pop-up blocker.

Then Copy this red link

apps.facebook.com

and paste it where the red box shows it. Click on ADD, then click CLOSE.

Finally click OK to close internet options.

Then, simply load your farm and post.

That's all for now, stay tuned to the Dirt Farmer for all the latest FarmVille news and information.

  1. what is being done to address all the other issues with Farmville? For the past month the farm won't load, or takes forever to load only to find that nothing can be done once it does load, or sometimes I will be able to do 3 - 4 tasks before the "Whoa Farmer" appears or the window just freezes. It is really hard to accomplish anything with all of this going on...I have updated everything and nothing has helped.

  2. The "workaround" for Chrome was WORSE than the Problem so I removed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
