  1. So far I am really enjoying the new farm. I am a person who loves learning new stuff. Makes you have to use your brain! :)

  2. I love the farm, don't like we can't send treasure parts to get back. Also for the Relic requirement for recipes. If you level up by neighbors buying your goods those do not count toward the total. Only recipes you level up yourself by making.

  3. Basically I like the new farm although with any new concept, it could use some tweaking. I enjoy the fact that we will have this farm for 14 weeks and I don't feel as rushed on this one as I have on previous new farms. The chest of relics could be improved with better communication. Example, I don't get credit if someone buys a good from me and it happens to level that good up. However, if I make the good and it levels up because of that, then I get credit. It's hard to know whether to tell folks to buy your goods or leave them alone with this concept. It's not the usual assembly line farm that we've had for the past two years, so glad there is a change there. Could stand some improvements, but overall, I like it.

  4. Quite like the fact it isn't a cookie cutter farm, thumbs up for me even tho it is strange not being able to complete some buildings right away as usual.

  5. I love this new farm. I like all the new challenges, and I enjoy the prizes. I also love learning new things, and this is a challenge for a change. Thank you

  6. I think I like it, but I won't be sure until it is completely expanded. I expect to run out of storage space and I'm worrying that the farm will be very slow to load, but I'll just have to wait and see. This farm is a departure from the FV norm and it has confused and upset many players, I like the change but the information provided by Zynga was inadequate. Thank you Dirt Farmer for filling in the gaps.

  7. A FARM TIS A FARM... SAME OLE, SAME OLE JUST NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT DAYS FOR THE OTHER THINGS TO OPEN... AAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. BORING!!! I RATHER BE WORKING MY BUTT OFF TO STAY AHEAD OF OTHER GAMERS BEFORE THEY GET TO PLAY FOR FREE... PLUS I HATE WAITING!!!

  8. I like the farm but don't like that you have to wait 13 days from conception to unlock alot of items. Zynga didn't provide any prior information about this and feel cheated that I spent FV cash to get early access and still have to wait the same amount of time (actually a week longer) that someone who gets it for free.

  9. I like the farm but I totally resent the change and restrictions placed on us without any prior warning. No one has been forced to farm at any rate that they do not wish to but again if I had seen anything prior about this restriction I would not have wasted my hard earned cash (as we do not get ads here). I bought EA because I wanted to get a head start. I also feel cheated that in the EA week we get free fuel and double bushels which helps us to get our recipe crafting done quicker so that we can have more ovens opened. It is day 3 and I have been blocked with everything. The only thing left for me to do is to master some short timing crops so all that I am doing is to plant and at some stage remember to go and harvest and replant as there is nothing more I could do with this farm. The enthusiasm of a new farm is gone - I've lost interest. Any future farms like this I will totally ignore.

    1. I agree with you on 100%!If i buy EA and come to play i want to do all i want not Zynga allows me. Never will get EA on farm like this one.

    2. I completely agree with Marlene Price and Unknown....I used to love Early Access because I could work hard and complete the "Beat" tasks. This farm blocks me from making progress. I don't like that. I do like the change made from "Beat" to the Relic Room, but now I'm at a standstill. Also, the Bamboo smashers and machetes are missing from the Free Gift tab, so I am unable to open treasures. I'm seriously considering retiring from Farmville.

      Delete
    3. I agree with Marlene as well. All the restrictions have taken the fun out of the game. Like all have replied, I am at a standstill. Early Access has proven to be a failure with this farm rather than a fun success.

    4. I also agree with Marlene!! I have been here since farmvile started! I am the highest level of the VIP~ which I also started when it did!! I also buy farm Cash before all new farms as I buy early access for ALL the farms! Boy was I shocked when I could NOT level up to 3 on the zen kitchen!!! AND the stupid chest wants me to make HOW many recipes??? IF I did that~ I would LOSE ALL credit for ALL recipes~ as far as leveling up goes with this one!! Not to mention I also will NOT get the extra oven!! this probably out of all the new things makes me the most upset!! I am so Disappointed that I WASTED my farm Cash for myself and my daughter for early access!! I buy ALL the same for her also! VIP, Farm Cash AND Early Access!! I have thought about quitting through the years~ all my lack of sleep, fights with my husband, just to do this farm!! Now?? I am seriously WANTING to quit!! EXCEPT I JUST BOUGHT $700 in farm cash each for myself and my daughter!!! Will they give me a refund?? Right.... didn't think so!!!

      Delete
    5. WOW~ notice how we ONLY see the "I LOVE THE NEW FARM"??? YOU really have to go down the page to find ALL the people that are upset that they wasted their farm cash on buying in on Early Access as we always do!! How sad! can we get a REFUND for both myself and my daughter?? since we have to sit and do fnoting for weeks now??? How about a REFUND on farm cash I bought for BOTH of us to get early access and buy things in the market to decorate our farms?? or how about a REFUND on the VIP I pay for both of us?? I feel like a sucker!! NOW i can't even quit because both myself and my daughter have just bought farm cash!! Grrrrr

  10. I like the farm but don't like that you have to wait to unlock items. I tried following the info provided by Df (thank you Dirt Farmers) but the whole thing is still confusing. Hopefully when more of the farm is open, it will improve and I will not feel I wasted FV cash for early access.

    1. Confusing and having to wait after buying EA is a bummer.I feel the same as Alice.

      Delete
    2. I agree with Alice! It is very confusing! Like I was told about the Zen Garden! That you have to wait to coin upgrade your zen garden until you reach the date. Now to me that does not make sense. I love some of it! Some of it is very confusing! I am so tired of shockwave flash & loading! I done nothing but have to wait on that. I feel like I am at doctor's office or at the hospital sit & wait. It is getting boring!

  11. i like it i usually rush to beat a new farm but i like the change the info in the relics room could be a little better but i like it havent played it since mon because of all the flash issues

  12. I am enjoying the leisurely pace of this farm. Usually I find myself rushing to finish everything. I like the different challenges everything about this farm is different so it has taken some adjustment and lots of reading. I do find myself wondering what I will do next week. I guess i can do the quest several times and if all else fails I will be forced to do housework!!!

    1. OMG.... Housework??? Bury that thought out in the far back 40 of your space travel farm not to be seen again.
Really, I'm an impatient player, too and miss the challenge of getting ahead and having to sit around waiting to have the 'next step' open up. Sigh. Turning into a thumb twiddler.

    2. My 2nd sentence was confusing... I DO NOT like having to w.a.i.t to continue playing. Please find a work around for that in future farms. Possibly an individual timer for each of us so we don't have to wait more than say 48 hrs....yes, I know, too much for the database to handle.... Thx. I like the types of crops.

      Delete
  13. I paid for early access yet can't finish the animals or the building for another 12 days. this is a waste. Hope the new farms are not like this one. Sad part is you will probably have to pay 45 for early access for the other parts of this farm.

    ReplyDelete
  14. mixed feeling about the limits and can only progress to certain points then wait for days/weeks/months.. I'm not happy about planting and harvesting all day and not receiving any Japanese Ryo in the Garden Pavillion, not sure if it's limited too ( I still have 3 boxes to open but??).? I honestly believe it was a waste of FV cash for earlier access just to be limited. But anyways.. It's a game

  15. I like the new farm. gives you a chance to do work on other farms. The browser issue is more of a pain for me.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I do not like the continuation of yet another patchwork expansions farm. I wish they would go back to the old style of the true flat farm with the uninterrupted space. I do not like that we have to wait for another section to open to continue with the Zen Garden House and the Judo Dojo. I paid 45 farm cash for early access and I feel cheated.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I ~love~ the fact that Zynga tied our Community Goals to the obstacles that THEY have severely limited our ability to remove. NOT! Since we cannot send them as gifts it's taking forever. And yes, before you say I can ask for them every 4 or 6 hours, I know, and I know I can search for them on the feed, which I do, but I still haven't even been able to remove the ones in the part that came with early access. So far it's a HATE IT, for me.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't like the fact that we have to wait to expand the Zen Garden House and Judo Dojo, and also have to wait for more animals in the Izanami Haven. I've gone as far as I can with these 3 buildings in 3 days and now have to wait 12 days, when I could be finished with all 3 bldgs within 12 days if left to my own devices. I don't like being a slave to the farm schedule. I like being able to quickly finish all of the recipes and then not being a slave to the farm for another 1.5 months.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Like the 14 week time-frame for the farm as I like time to decorate. Like Relic Room challenges and think the farm looks pretty. Dislike artificial time constraints to level up recipe building to 5* and finish main buildable. Finding this waiting very frustrating and am losing interest in the farm. Would probably not go for Early Access again if these constraints continue.

    ReplyDelete
  20. As others have stated, having to wait to expand etc should have been more clearly stated before I spent 45 FC. Very frustrating to know I'm making the progress but nothing to show for it. "Early access to all 4 regions", I have not been able to figure out at all. The farm itself is pretty and fun, but I wouldn't have spent FC for early access had I known it to be limited. Relic room challenges I found by accident today and trying to figure that out. If the future set up for early access is this format, I will no longer buy. I don't go early to do quests etc. I like to finish buildings and expand.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I do feel cheated overall... just found out in reading here I can't do more than 6 animals. One of my favorite parts. So what DID I pay for?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I paid early access to get a head start. I don't know why we are being held back. Can't send parts for ANYTHING, can't get ahead of crafting, can't get ahead of relics room. CAN'T PLAY MY WAY. If the farms are all going this way, I wont be paying for early access anymore. I am sorry Zynga but this is a bad choice for your loyal players.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Do not like it at all, land seems smaller, am forced to do the animals (which i have hated since they bring them out) to much going on :( very sad i was really looking forward to this farm :(

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was super excited by some of the changes, but by others, not so much. I am an impatient person - I do early access to hit it hard and fast and get everything done so I can coast along and spend my time decorating. Can't do it on this farm. I guess it will just be one of my "crop farms" and I'll decorate elsewhere. :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree with most of the above comments. The farm itself is pretty but paying for EA was a great waste of money especially since it looks like come May 16, we would need to pay another 45 FC for EA on the next section. I will not be doing that. I do not like the restrictions on building expansions. I could expand some of them but am restricted by time. Definitely made EA not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Meh ... I don't care. It's going to take me longer to do this farm as it's a hurry up and wait. It will teach me patience. Or else I'll get bored and go do other things. I have to admit I've spent a lot less money this year than I did in the same time period last year. So it's Zynga's goal to reduce the amount of cash spent, they've succeeded.

  27. I'm enjoying the change of pace. Happy I bought early access!

    ReplyDelete
  28. i do not like the new restrictions you have placed on progressing in this farm. i am a vip that routinely purchases extra fc. i feel cheated for what i spent for early access. supposed to get extra costumes and two starter packs. only received 1 starter pack and definately not the 4 costumes promised. for the longest time people have said "play the game your way". well you took that away from us. you have made sure that everyone plays this farm at the same pace. the only difference is the early access players pace is supposedly a week or two before the open access players. not being able to advance as i please, (not even if we wanted to spend fc to do so) has been completely taken away from us. the theme of the farm is pretty, but if the farms continue to come out in this staggered format i for one will not be paying hard earned fc when it gets me no where. in my opinion having to wait to "open" other sections of the farm just seems like avalon all over again. confusion all in one farm.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Very well said and how I feel. I too am a VIP and buy extra anyways... I feel very ripped off on this one not realizing there were so many limitations. It should have been stated upfront. I normally would have my level 5 kitchen well on the way, unwithers well on the way, I'm just "stuck" and paid 45 FC for that lovely feeling.

      Delete
    2. I like the farm itself, like other farms but it's pretty. But I feel I wasted 45 FC doing early access. "Get access to all 4 lands etc - I sure don't see it" As far as the combine, I can easily collect the parts via free gifts for that... unfortunately not for the items needed for the barriers!

      Delete
    3. I agree - very well stated. I too am a VIP, have been for almost 2 years, and I have paid in the past to progress the animal maker buildings, but of course have had this option taken away from me with this farm. Yes, it was a waste of farm cash to buy early access to a farm so limited. I do not look forward to an upcoming section every month, I like to get into the new farm, get it done, then sit back and relax and just harvest when I feel like it.

      Delete
    4. As the farm is split into 4 parts you will be getting some of the Early Access benefits as each stage opens. We got 1 starter-pack on the 1st section. We'll get the other starter-pack on one of the other sections. We are going to get an extra free week on each section giving the EA people a chance to earn the extra plots before the non-EA people on each part. It's not really "slowing down" - it's just a different model. It's no longer get the craftshop to 5 stars - instead it's level-up recipes so many times (on the 1st stage 54 recipes). It's no longer master these specific crops, but master this number of crops (12 crops on the 1st part). It's no longer complete the 10 stage building and make 15 animals - instead it's collect a certain number of reward points by completing either animals, stages of the building or opening presents in the unwither ring building.

      Delete
    5. I'm with everyone else. I feel I totally WASTED 45 FVC for the Early Access. I have also been a VIP player since it's first inception. With these unrealistic restrictions I'm seriously considering telling FV they can keep their farms and their FVC. I'll opt out of VIP, and only help friends when I see their posts on my wall. I've been playing since we were begging for our first land expansion on the home farm--over five years--and these latest changes have pushed me over the edge. I don't enjoy playing anymore, and do it now more out of duty since I feel I've spent WAY too much real $$$ to quit. But, unless some MAJOR changes are enacted soon, it will be better for me to bale out now before I get more bitter. EA was a total waste and I will be sharing that opinion with all of my FV friends.

  29. I Absolutely hate this new farm, I'm at a standstill, cant do anything more till April 19th. Don't like the changes that have been made on this new farm. The early access was not even worth it except for maybe the combine. So frustrating. I think it's confusing and I hate that there's a time constraint on a lot of things. I'm NEVER going to to do early access again & I have been doing early access since the beginning of the game. This new farm has me finally thinking of quitting the game like most of my friends & family have done long ago....HATE THE NEW FARM & HATE YOUR STUPID CHANGES!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Have you finished the first 3 Relics and got all the rewards from those - including the extra land ?
I really don't understand so many people saying they are "at a standstill". Yes it's possible to complete the 3 Relics in a day or 2, but in 2 weeks time there'll be more Relics with their tasks to work on and get even more rewards. The old style "Beat event" - get 5 star craftshop, finish building, master 21 crops, make 15 animals - could be complete in a week or so ....and then you'd be at "a standstill" for 2 months waiting for the next farm, and you would not get any rewards for completing the Beat goals until the Beat event was officially released after 5 or 6 weeks. With this new style Relics Room, the Beat event has been split up, but now you get far more rewards and get them straight away without a 5 week wait.

  30. I really enjoy this farm. The challenges are great. The limits makes me feel like I can't rush; so I am enjoying going at a slower pace.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like the new farm. I haven't even reached the limits yet because I don't play constantly like other farmers. I like that it gives me time to do other things also. The one thing I don't like is trying to get the parts to uncover the treasures during early access. The only way to get them is via the newsfeed and they are gone to fast so I don't get any from other people and the time between being able to ask is too long so 5 lousy pieces every 8 hours I am still on the last treasure. We need to be able to receive more via clicks or ask more often. I actually like it so far.

    ReplyDelete
  32. THANK YOU!!! ZYNGA Inc. I WILL NEVER GET EARLY ACCESS AGAIN!!!!! YOU HAVE SAVED ME TONS OF MONEY. HATE THE NEW FARM!!!! AND NOW I SEE WHY IT'S TIME TO QUIT THIS GAME LIKE MOST OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE DONE LONG AGO. AS USUAL YOU SCREW YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS OVER TIME & TIME AGAIN!!!! THANKS YOU FOR GIVING ME BACK ALL MY WASTED TIME!!!!!

  33. I am playing a game and not working on a factory where all must be done before the shift is over so !I don't care !sometimes I play almost every hour from a day sometimes I don't play for days so all is fine for me !

    ReplyDelete
  34. I like it except for the not being able to upgrade my Zen Garden House although I have done the required amount of recipes and the inability to send treasure parts. Why is it every 8 hours instead of every 6 like with other farms on requesting. Five parts every 8 hours is too few. If I were inclined to buy an expansion, I'm not cause of this throttling on the parts and expansion. That goes for everything. I will have to wait and see how it goes as it expands but so far, it is frustrating. Sue Strong on Facebook

  35. I like the idea of this farm but I feel they have let the people who have paid for Early Access down as we are left in limbo for not being able to progress as we would like to. Zynga should either correct this or refund our money

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love this new farm. It's been a long time since I could say that. I love the slower pace which allows me to work on other farms and get decorations and animal pens sorted, something I normally have no time to do. I miss being able to decorate and actually look at the crops and animals that make each farm unique. I've also really wanted a proper Japanese farm, although Jade Falls remains my favourite because the crops are real and the recipes are real Asian food items. I love how Jade Falls is set up with the terraces and the river running through the farm. I'm hoping this farm will have some that. =^.^=

    ReplyDelete
  37. First of all, aside from the different plot format, this farm is nothing but a blatant copy of Jade Falls...so once again, I give no credit to Zynga for creativity or imagination--we have far too many duplicate farms already. My biggest complaint is the ridiculous rip off for those who paid for Early Access: what good did it do us to pay for early access when we're locked out after the first day? I understand that people who can't afford to pay for an early access to the new farms feel like they're being cheated or 'left behind'--but that's because Zynga is so greedy--it's not the fault of those who can pay, so what gives Zynga the right to cheat the people who DO pay? We have to wait 12 days to get to the next level of everything after Day 2? What an ignorant and disgusting scam! NO business has the right to charge a customer for something billed as "EARLY" access, then REFUSE to allow said customer to actually HAVE that access. Zynga is GUILTY of FALSE ADVERTISING. I will never pay for early access again if this is how shabbily they are going to treat their paying customers. If they want to lock me out of what I PAID for, I will lock them out of my bank account for the next unimaginative farms they shove at us every two months. I'm a Diamond VIP Member, but I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my membership over this complete rip off / lie...and make no mistake--charging us early access for something we're locked out of WAS a lie on Zynga'a part. Not that THEY care...they're laughing all the way to the bank for charging us for something we can't even use.

    ReplyDelete
  38. While I'm on a rant, how about some more realistic looking animals and trees for a change, Zynga? Some of us do NOT enjoy a relentless stream of ridiculously unrealistic (and buffoonish) looking items...there's no legitimate reason you can't make both the gaudy fantasy for those who like, it AS WELL AS the more realistic and FARM relevant stuff, so that ALL players can finally get something they like. I refuse to do quests anymore because I'm sick of unicorns and pegacorns as the final prize...and I don't think a hippo wearing a tutu belongs on ANY farm, no matter what the theme is. Trees DON'T grow pies, books, or garden tools--I sell those things off immediately, because I'm a decorator, and that kind of ugly crap has no place on my farms. Tigers don't shoot lightening bolts out of their heads, nor do they belong on a farm--that kind of thing has been going on for years now, and some of us are sick of it. We want a FAIR distribution of new animals, trees, and buildings--we do NOT want what the designers are stuck on lately. I'm sitting on 658 FC, and found NOTHING in the Market I care to spend that FC on, because it's all too cheap and childish for my taste. In the beginning, Farmville had REAL looking animals and trees. These days, my four year old granddaughter told me she didn't like the new animals because they "looked like something a baby would like". HER words, not mine. But she loves my Home farm, where all of the realistic looking animals, trees, and buildings are. Wake up, Zynga, and accept the fact that NOT ALL players want your fantasy stuff, or the ostentatious and insane designs you've been exclusively putting out for far too long now. You use the EXCUSE that you create what people PAY for--but you don't give people like me a chance to buy anything to prove to you that we WOULD if there was ever something we actually liked.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree 100%. I sell almost all of the animals immediately; I don't want those hideous looking things seen on my farm. But, as we have WAY too many farms, no one ever gets a chance to see and enjoy the decorations like we used to. I want green trees (or maybe yellow, orange, red, or brown as the seasons progress). I want houses that look like dwellings, solid color hay bales in every shade and color, and realistic animals. Start putting buildings back into the rewards for quests and games...that's the only way I'll invest time into them. It Zynga wants to keep pushing out "kiddy farms" then let them advertise that so the rest of us won't waste our time.

    2. Agree with Jennie Walter and Kathy. I hate this type of farm and the waiting is disgusting. Animals that are atrocious and trees that are unrealistic are rediculous. Not doing a trial run to see if the game runs as expected is not a good move. The game is so slow that it takes 4 hours to do 1 hour of gaming. Fix the broken, not working stuff before introducing something else new that may or may not work. I HATE THIS KIND OF FARM.

      Delete
    3. I agree with all of you too. Now-a-days, I just check this website to see what the rewards are, and don't play unless there are some cook rewards! Which means that I haven't played a quest for ages! There is absolutely no need for all those atrocious animals and trees. And they have totally wasted the India or Japan farms with them, when they could have easily had real animals or trees. Same goes for crops too, though there are (very few) real crops.

  39. MAJOR COMPLAINT HERE...why can't we send gifts of the Bamboo Machete and the Bamboo Smasher? We could send the items needed to open obstacles on every other farm...why not THIS one, as well? That ignorant practice rates right up there with your REFUSAL to sell Water Vehicles for coins. Is your greed getting the better of you? It sure seems like it.

  40. And the rant continues...your stupid Teapot fiasco is ridiculous. It's hard to understand what you expect us to do...then we can't get credit for any of it even if we do manage to out what you want. It said to get a Gold Star Mastery for 9 crops...I fully mastered ALL of the crops, but still can't get credit for it. Is this another scam?

  41. I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL. I PAID FOR ARL ACCESS WISH I HADN'T hAVE DONE ALL THE ANIMALS, DONE ALL THE CROPS. FINISHED AND UPGRADED THE ZEN HOUSE AS MUCH AS I CAN FINISHED THE JUDE DOJO. FINISHED THE GARDEN PAVILION AND THE THIS FARM STILL WANTS MORE RECIPES DONE TO CONTINUE. THE STUFF I Have done obviously didn't count so why do any more this farm is a compete waste of time and money. I refuse to use more Farmville cash and redo everything I have already done

    1. To get the Houhin Teapot relic you have to level-up recipes a total of 54 times (8 times to get bronze, 16 more times to get silver and 30 more times to get gold). Unfortunately this particular Teapot Relic only credits the level-ups you get when you are making the recipe yourself and doesn't count any level-ups that happen when you neighbours buy your goods.

  42. I DON'T LIKE THIS NEW FARM. FIRST THING I DID NOT GET ALL THE THINGS PROMISED IN THE AD'S. I ONLY GOT 1 OUTFIT, 1 STARTER KIT, 1 ANIMAL, DOUBLE REWARDS WHERE. PUTTING LIMITS ON WHAT WE CAN DO IS CRAZY!!!!!! YOU FINISH SOMETHING JUST TO BE TOLD TO WAIT DAYS OR WEEKS BEFORE I CAN DO SOMETHING ELSE, THAT'S EVIL. PLEASE NEVER DO THIS CRAP AGAIN. ENGLAND WAS A FUN WAY TO GET TO A NEW FARM. BRING THE OLD PEOPLE BACK WHO DID IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. IF I WANTED A NEW STRANGE FARM I WOULD PLAY FARMVILLE 2. BRING THE OLD FARMVILLE BACK FOR THE OLD TIMERS.

  45. I like the idea of having this farm for longer (14 weeks as opposed to the rushed 8). However I do NOT like waiting to make all the animals, and to wait to level up the crafting building to a 5 star. Paying for early access should allow us to be able to get as far ahead as we wish so an option should be given to do that instead of making everyone wait. This was a waste of farm cash if we are forced to wait to achieve anything. Also please let us send gifts to open the treasures as it is taking forever to ask for them on the feed. This is just ridiculous that we can't gift these items to clear them faster, like we were able to do on other farms. Make new farms last 4 months or longer if possible but please allow those who want to get tasks done faster that option.

  46. I am also a VIP player, the only thing that is different on this farm is that they have broke up into 4 parts and put more time limits on it. I'm not impressed. The early access package is now split in two instead of getting it all at one, is that suppose to impress us, so we got an extra costume and a couple extra crops. The size of the acres that you can farm( without spending money)seems to be getting smaller & smaller with each farm. These water crops are a pain on the butt because you get such a small planting area. They made the shipping licence harder to get by adding the relic room. An top that all off with the problems of loading and crashing & missing cash, wow, I'm so impressed, NOT!!!!! Oh Yes, in all this mess my Namaste 9 quest disappeared and of course Zynga has cut off all support. I have had to change browsers and that is not working that great . It would be nice to see them update the older farms so that we could get unwither rings instead of spending cash again. And how about updating the Crafting Cottages so the older items don't have the share buttons !

  48. I hate the new farm, purchased early access, what a waste. Just realised I have crafted enough to earn the fourth star in crafting, friends have been wasting time buying and nothing counts towards next section. The relic room is difficult to understand. Was horrified yesterday when I crafted 45 coins or Japanese whatever they are and ONLY 15 counted. I wasted instagrows on the crops I needed. My farmville time is coming to a close.

  49. it's more challenging farm and to get the full benefit you really do have to spend cash which is a shame for us farmers!!!

  50. I love the new farm. Fresh layout, and I feel like I can take my time with it. THAT SAID - I know some people like to consume new content as quickly as the programmers can spit it out, and I believe Zynga should have been more upfront with everyone about how much gating was going to be involved with this farm. For myself - I couldn't be happier, but I recognize that many people are frustrated with the gating because we really didn't know. - Yvonne Kaetterhenry

  51. Having been here from the beginning and as a person who has always purchased farm cash, I feel well qualified to comment. The design is fine. The theme is boring, we already have a Japanese farm and it is my least favorite. How about a more colorful farm. Locking things that were never locked before is a HUGE drag. You're supposed to make it better NOT worse. Adding some new fun things to do would be a better choice. Those animals are a drag to make (and worse now with the locking) replace it with something new and more fun. Please unlock the food stall, 3 slots is ridiculous.

  52. I like the new farm but also have a couple issues. I like others, have mixed feelings about not being able to progress at my own speed. Kind of a waist of FV cash to get it early just so we have to wait. Also, In the Izanami Haven (where you craft the animals) the bar that comes up when you are choosing what item to make, covers the items that are already being made. Its very annoying. I cant see which stalls are making items when I have the bar up.

  55. I truly dislike this new farm! I have enjoyed all farms prior to this one, and I have enjoyed beating the farms at my own pace. Because I was very intent on beating all of my farms, I have always bought fv cash, and spent a lot of cash on farms. Today was the first time I have not bought fv cash, there is no need. Since I have so many weeks to do nothing but make the parts that I would have used my cash to purchase. I may have lost on buying a crappy farm, but so do you; you didn't get my $400.00 plus. I guess I did win after all.

  56. I love the design of the new farm and will love to be able to move Jade decorations over once we finish the 14 weeks. I don't mind another oriental farm. I do feel that the EA was a bit of a rip-off since we really only get a combine and some animals. Crops... who cares. parts... nice, but eventually you get them from someone. I do resent not knowing that buildings and craftshop would be tied down. Like the others I usually have my craftshop at 5 star and the other buildings close to finishing by the end of EA. BUT. I don't might the buildings locked down except the recipe making. It is hard to use up the bushels in crafting fast enough with only 3 slots and I really don't want to swap Sakura bushels. The other buildings can finish slowly for all I care.
It is forcing us to relax and slow down and yes- it meant I closed FV and did something else for a while which probably was healthy!
I am enjoying the relic challenge.

  57. I like the new farm. I can go at a slower pace. I dont understand the relic room. I dont understand the building where we make foods.. Im level 3 in there and level 4 is on another expansion I cant get 3rd level expansion.. does that mean I should delete those crops as there will be new crops? Needs alot more discussion regarding all buildings levels crops etc

    1. Have you completed your Houhin Teapot in Sakura's Relics Room ? On this farm there is no reward for having a 5 star craftshop, instead they are giving rewards for the number of recipes that you can level up. To get the Houhin Teapot Relic you need to level-up 54 recipes (that's quite a lot of recipes to make to get all those level ups). You get the bronze award for 8 level-ups, the silver award for 16 more level-ups and the gold award for 30 more level-ups.
So don't worry about the number of stars on the Zen Garden - we will all be waiting until 18th April before we get the chance to upgrade the building, but in the meantime there's plenty of work to level up enough recipes to get the Houhin Teapot Relic and plenty of use for your bushels (you can craft Ryo coins for the unwither building and for the future unwither buildings).

      Delete
    2. Alistair, you seem to be pushing those teapots pretty hard. And that's OK if that's what you like. Most of us are trying to get across the idea to Zynga that we don't really care about the teapots....we want 6 slots for our recipes! The teapots will take care of themselves as we do the quests...if we don't get too bored first. There's not much point in growing and crafting if it's not getting us anywhere...and from my perspective, and it seems most others here, that's exactly the case. So, teapots or not, we HATE this!

  60. I can tell a lot of thinking/designing/time went in to this farm conglomerate idea. I want to let Z know that I appreciate they are trying to do something different...but - All in all, just don't like the new 4 part farm. In my opinion more thinking has to be done for more challenges rather than adding restrictions that just bore enthusiastic 'farmers.' We put down our cash to get ahead and go full steam because we like to get ahead - the whole idea of "EARLY ACCESS" I thought...and many others I'm guessing. Then, SURPRISE, we are hitting walls. I don't like the restrictions on the crafting houses. It's hard enough to get them all leveled up. They are a pain, but they are a part of the game and I accept that. I may have opted out of EA if I would have known about the restrictions ahead of time. In my opinion they negate any head start we opted in for. Everybody will catch up due to the restrictions as we go along. I wish Z would put their thinking caps on and ADD some different challenges instead of restricting what we already do. I do appreciate they are 'trying' but it was a 'miss' not a 'hit' this time around. I have seen some really cool ideas coming from the players themselves...from game play to new farms. I wish they would do more listening and see what they can do with some of the great suggestions I've seen from fellow players. Maybe they could even run a contest for new ideas...

    1. This farm is different. There is no longer the same Beat-the-farm event consisting of exactly the same tasks (5 star craftshop, 15 animals, 10 stage building, master 20+ crops). Instead they have given us this new Sakura's Relics Room an 18 part challenge. When you look at the tasks to get each of the Teapots - each of which is split into bronze, silver and gold awards you will see that it is still composed of the same tasks as the old Beat event, but they have actually now removed the restrictions. You don't have to master a fixed set of crops, but instead you need to master a given number of crops. On the first part of the farm that's 12 crops (1 to get bronze, 2 more to get silver and 9 more to get gold). You don't have to get a 5-star craftshop, instead you have to level up recipes. On the first part of this farm that's 54 level-ups (8 for bronze, 16 more for silver, 30 more for gold). You don't have to make 15 animals or a 10 stage building, the task for the Teapot relic for this gives you points for each level of the building you do, each present in the unwither building you open and each animal you make in the Haven. You can actually repeat making any animal in the haven to get the points.
There's certainly plenty to do for those who got Early Access and if you have completed all the Relics (for which you are awarded the extra plot of land the Peninsula of Patience) then there's still plenty more you can be getting on with. You can keep crafting the Ryo coins ready to open the presents in the next unwither buildings (I think we'll need a further 650 or so of them). If you have access to the guides for the animal buildings you can be making up all the parts ready for the next animal or 2 or more if you are willing to craft parts to expand the storage areas.
All in all I think there is actually more to do on this farm than on any previous farm. I think the walls people think they are running into are just in their minds. We are all used to a certain fixed format for the new farms, so when they change that format it appears at first glance to be restricting us everywhere we look ...but look a bit closer and that is not the case. A little patience is required ...but that does not mean that you just have to wait - it means you also have to think a bit to find a way round the problems you encounter.

    2. Well said and written Alistair. I think your ideas and explanations opened up some challenges for me- thank you.

  61. I find it challenging. The artwork is lovely. I would prefer to not have to wait to level up my crafting building but such is life. I like to help others in the game but have seen many complaints in regards to just not doing anything with the new farm until the 14th day and the rest opens up. It might hurt the new farmers coming in next week if that happens. I still wish new farms would not show up as frequently. I was just getting used to Namaste. The tutorial for the teapots need to say that the very fast crops do not count towards the 9 mastered crops.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. All the crops do count, but you need to master 12 crops to get the gold star and the Teapot. Each of those Teapots is split into bronze, silver and gold and the number it shows you need is just for each part - not the whole. For the crops you need to master 1 for bronze, 2 more for silver and 9 more for gold - making 12 in all. The Relics room doesn't always update instantly and you may need to refresh your farm to see you progress go up.
I agree the time between each farm is far too short with a new farm coming out just when you are beginning to like the previous one. This Farm in it's 4 parts is going to last for 14 weeks or more so we won't have another farm until around July - hopefully that will give people more time to get used to it and enjoy it.

  62. I'm bored, yeah I have to level up a couple crops and recipes but to me that is the most boring part. Oh, and to ad insult to injury. the recipe shop doesn't show if all those recipes are counting. Not impressed at all. We already have way too much wait for those who can't keep up going on, did we really need it in farmville also?

  63. I think this farm is a combination of the old farms and the new farms. I remember back when I was so sick of Taro's to level up Hawaii. I think that the designers worked hard for this creation. In using the story plot of patience we are having to slow down and complete the whole section before going to the next stage. You have to complete the animals and the amount of crops before you get one award, you have to complete all the crops in this section and you have to get to level 30 in the zen. But doing all of this you feel less stressed at the end to complete and get the beat the farm icon because you are working on it all through the task to obtain the relics. I'm wondering how the next section is going to procede since the first part is teaching us all that we have to be patient and go with the flow.

    2. Have you completed your Houhin teapot ? It's not important how many stars your Zen Garden is - (and it will stay greyed out until 18th April for all of us), but you do get rewarded for levelling up recipes. To complete the Houhin Teapot you need to do 8 recipe level-ups for the bronze award, a further 16 level-ups for the silver award and a further 30 level ups to get the final gold award. Take a look in Sakura's Relics Room to see the tasks you need to do. The Zen Garden will stay with just 3 tables until the 3rd part of the Farm opens. When the next part of the farm opens on 28th March there will be more Teapot Tasks that involve more levelling up of recipes.

  66. I would really like to work the new farm but I am already having issues: IE Mozilla Firefox won't load the farm (script errors) but I can load my older farms with the browser. Zen Garden froze, won't allow me to use the coin upgrade for level 3. I'm sure there are more problems down the road.

  67. When the new farm is too slow for me-trust me that's slow. teapot directions are very confusing. I don't like that you can't use free gifts to clear obstacles. I think we all buy new farms so we don't have to hurry up and wait for the next feature. The name of this farm should be hurry up and wait.

Same with placing items on the farm, not enough room to Build and place Pens, etc. Yes, I can go work on items on other farms, but wanted to get as far as I could on New Farm. Don't like nor have the patience for waiting for them to open up other Regions, Don't live in FV, In other words, this farm sucks.

  72. I understand them wanting to stretch out the expansion but holding back players is a bad decision. I have nothing to do until it releases. It also sucks that we can't gift the bamboo items to unlock the treasures. I'm sure they did that to slow us down also but we don't want to be slowed down. This was really a bad decision. If they release another farm like this I will not play it. They are going to force me to find another game to play eventually and that saddens me because I love FV.

Also I completed the require amount of recipes to complete the relic but still hasnt given me my relic, how many more recipes to I have to complete to level 16 to get it to open up. I also dont like that Im not getting the coins needed for the garden pavillion to finish it.

  76. This is probably the worst farm yet. Spent FC for early access and have to wait for expansions to be unlocked? WHY cant Zynga go back to the original flat farms? These blocky type farms are horrible. How about your next farm be RETRO FARMVILLE. I guess its good in a way that the new farms are awful then Im not wasting so much time playing them.

  77. I'm sick and tired of being forced, yes, forced to craft the animals in order to attempt to get benefits like the Beat Farm or in this case one of the teapots in the first level.
I'm also annoyed, to say the least, that my harvesting the Judo Dojo over fourteen times, which did count to get rid of the timed teapot and at least one harvest over, did not cross count for the teapot that clearly states that harvesting the Judo Dojo will count for the final gold star.
I'm annoyed further that upgrading the recipes past the two star level, which is needed to complete another teapot on the first level, does not unlock another crafting table for coins.
If this is a prelude to what I can expect on the next sections of the farm, I for one will definitely be a very unhappy camper.

    1. Once again I'm being forced, yes forced, to have to craft more animals in order to get one of the doll icons for the next treasure chest. And the "workaround" of crafting the lower level animal(s) doesn't work this time. I do not want to craft the animals. They take far too many items to craft the higher level animals and I don't like the majority of the animals being offered.
I've told many customer service representatives that they need to get rid of requiring the animal crafting to beat the farms and it is still a requirement, in this case, to finish the one doll icon, or on later levels to finish whatever icon is needed to help gain the treasure chest.
If they need to have us craft new animals for each icon, they should make the animals for each new farm (land, water, so on) start at the lowest one for each farm, so that if we must do the animals, we can do the workaround and only craft so many of the lower animals.

Is it to stop people from wanting to farm?

  83. I don't like the whole layout of the farms. Instead of just one big farm, like it started out to be, it's all these little plots that we have to either wait till they open up, or pay cash for them. Why not just go back to the big one-piece farms. It was alot easier then. There is also so much going on, on the Sakura farm, that most of the time, there is a glitch with this and that and it just ruins the whole game. Today I have not been able to post. There goes my ability not only to post items for my friends, but my ability to ask what I need in order to get the challenges every day. Basically, go back to the big old one plot farms. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

  85. 1) Once you unlock the "Rivers of Balance", the avatar cannot be locked, because you are not allowed to place hay-bales / fences around it. This means that the avatar travels around the farm, making it take forever to do anything! This is exasperating!

  86. I started playing FV awhile ago, stopped playing once for about 1 year because of all the issues in the game,I think there are to many farms, you have to keep going to the new farm in order to do quests, in the past you had a choice of using farm cash or coins to purchase expansions, equipment, buildings etc. NO LONGER. I especially don't like everytime the oops we found an issue when you are harvesting. then you have to wait so long for the game to load and all the pop ups the crops are withered. now there are quests on both sides of the game and all the advertising you have a small screen. if you expand the screen ever minute you are bouncing from large to small screens to post. I also don't get requests or posts from all of my friends. i am considering leaving the game again for good this time there are so many other games out there without all the issues. I hate the water crops, by the time you finish plowing and planting you have to stop to harvest. you can't tell how many times you have harvested the dojo it is a mess
