In our recent Dirt Farmer LIVE! Interview with the FarmVille Studio, Dirt Farmer Wendy questioned the issue of many players losing support. The Studio’s response was that a big change was coming soon to the support portal, to address all of those issues and they requested our patience until an announcement was posted on the support site detailing the changes. Well that announcement is now here. Big changes indeed. Read below for all the details and please do share….
Starting on Monday, December 21st, 2015 players visiting the support site and clicking on the red “get help” were greeted with the following banner.
The word “news” in the banner is a link and leads to an article that announces “New Zynga Support Site Coming Soon!”
What does that mean? Well the article continues to say that the new site will launch “later this month” – no update at press time and only one day to go before the end of the month. The rest of the article offers more information on the changes to come.
Let’s break it down
“First, the overall look and feel of the Zynga Player Support site will be completely different. The new site will feature FAQs about all of your favorite games in one location, making it easier for you to find the answers you are looking for while browsing on your computer, tablet or phone.”
We will apparently no longer need to select our game from a drop down menu, perhaps the main page will look more like a larger version of this. We shall update as soon as it launches.
"Second, we are updating our player support options to make it easier for all Zynga players around the world to get in touch with us. In the short-term, this means we will be removing the Chat Support option from the new site due to its limited availability to all of our global players. Moving forward, we will be adding new player support options to the site in the coming months to make it easier for all of our players to get in touch with us. We’ll share more details on these features as they launch."
As of the launch of the new support site Live Chat will no longer be available. Whether this is good or bad will depend on how many more players get access to email support and how quickly they respond. New options remain mysterious, we shall update you as more information becomes available.
"Finally, to make it easier for you to get into the site and access the information you want faster, you will no longer have to sign in to the Zynga Player Support site to contact us."
The Facebook connect button will be a thing of the past, this is good news for folks who had trouble accessing it due to various extensions on their browsers. Since there will no longer be that automatic connection, make sure to be prepared with your game ID – found under the game – when you access the support portal to avoid confusion or difficulty.
"We are really looking forward to hearing what you think about the new site. In the meantime, our dedicated support teams are on hand to answer your emails and help you with any questions you have. Thanks for playing!"
Hopefully this means email support will be universal for all players – stay tuned
