Have an Idea To Make Future Farms More Interesting? Comment Here!

Recently we’ve heard “Same thing Different Color” and “ Same Four Things” and “No More Cookie Cutter Farms” from those who usually enjoy new farms even more than we hear “No more farms” from those who do not. It got us to thinking, remember when there was something fun, new and exciting on every new farm? We’d love to see that come back wouldn’t you? We thought we’d put together a few ideas (THESE ARE SUGGESTIONS NOT NEW FEATURES COMING TO FARMVILLE) & ask you for your own. PLEASE COMMENT HERE IF YOU HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR A FUN NEW FEATURE THAT WOULD MAKE YOU ENJOY NEW FARMS MORE. Please do share with friends so they can brainstorm too. If we get some great ideas, of course your Dirt Farmer team will pass them along.

Remember when new farms all had something new and unique to look forward to?

The awesome flashing sheep from English Countryside

Then there was the first harvestable buildable on Lighthouse Cove, the special Winter Animal Pen on Winter Wonderland, the first water crops on Hawaiian Paradise, the Terrace on Jade Falls. After that adding something new seemed to be forgotten. Features were pretty much the same or remakes of all farm features until the first unwither ring prize feature, the Holly Bright Tree on Holiday Lights and the unique LEGENDARY BIRDS on Fields of El Dorado.

It’s time for something new. A unique feature for each farm that would make it special and stand apart from the rest. Here are some things that some of our team would like to see as center piece features on a new farm.

Dirt Farmer Sarah would like to tend a garden, some new way of incorporating flowers different from the blooms.

Dirt Farmer Rob would like a farm to include some special  breeding features with shareable babies. He’d love to breed puppies and kittens and of course he’s still advocating for his Dinosaur farm with Dino breeding.

Dirt Farmer Heather would like to see a farm with a special center piece buildable that would give a new type of instagrow. Perhaps it could yield 3 per week and it would be usable on any farm and allow us to instantly finish any type of craft. Imagine being able to knock out those multi stage 8 or 10 hour recipes in just one click.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE? WHAT NEW AND UNIQUE FEATURE ON A NEW FARM WOULD LEAVE YOU EXCITED TO PLAY IT AND HAVING TONS OF FUN? PLEASE COMMENT BELOW WITH YOUR GREAT IDEAS. HAPPY FARMING.

  1. Id like to see a harvestable for 3 pack turbos, id like to see mastery signs automatically go in the billboards and id like to see a box to click for no more popups when harvesting orchards

    1. We've got one of a sort.... in farmers square you place the Mechanic shop and harvest it every 12 hours... it starts off with only 1 turbo but as you level it up you get more.... wouldn't be surprised if you already know this :)

  2. Stop creating NEW farms and reinvent the existing ones with exciting expansions, new build-able items outside there borders. Give farmers the option to change the landscape, for instance, for 20 fvc you can add a permanent moat to your lighthouse cove, or add a mountain range to the border of farms. 100's of variations could be offered so that not necessarily everyone would have the exact same layout. Allow farms to be "cookie cut" into star shapes or circles? Allow terrace additions to make them more 3-D. Could even offer the day or night option? Give the player more options instead of the same square farms with 2-D backdrops. Now all those ideas are for free, for anything else it'll cost ya ;-) But if i had to chose a "new" farm, the lost world or flintstones inspired with Dinosaurs :)

    1. I like this as well. I have recommended something similar in the past when they were looking for ideas. I like new farms but I like my old ones enough that I want an excuse to go play on them again.

  3. I'd Love to see on our farm(s) a button where we could turn our farm from day into night. Most of the items I own are glow, or Glow In The Dark, and can;t really been seen in the daytime.

  5. I'd like to see the option to delete older farms and have Zynga no longer release random sets of quests for the dead farms.

  6. What about adding some new craftshops- Have a flower market that will use the new permanent flower crops to create single flowers, small squares, rectangles of mixed flowers, etc that can either be sold or placed on the farm. I think the biggest problem with the bouquets was the wither- so have these not wither. They are decorations. Those who like to decorate with hay bales will have an entirely new meium to play with. We have over 60 flowers I bet already as crops. Allow us to use ANY to craft- perhaps you select the crop, then the type of output and what you select will determine how many bushels you need to craft it.

Have another craft shop for the herbs or other new crops that aren't used in anything. Craft for not outrageous, but not small either bushel amoutns - those 3 pack turbos ( easier to use), super fertilizer, 3 pack arborists, 3 pack farmhands, etc... Perhaps you have a set crop and then a non specific amount like the bushel babies. For those of us who have finished the babies, having a new use for the excess... would be good. Since you are getting a nice benefit the not more than 100 bushel range would be fair.
Have a new item craftable - instead of instants, how about speed ups- 3,6,9,12 hour speed ups - all craftable...

I also liked the additional out of the farm idea- perhaps add a new buildable OUTSIDE the farm that comes with the month long quest... So as you do the quest you collect parts to upgrade it or as you do the quest, it upgrades ( for those who have issues with asks)

  7. Yeah, I have quit doing most quests, so that I can try to Beat the frm, and they have way too many crafting parts to them. We dont need another Fairy frm of another Xmas like frm, need something different, and could you give us roads so we can create a town w roads to the Homestead. And we need gifts on the quest that include town building for the new frm we are working on.

  8. I like crafting. I would like a craft building for parts for the older farm's landmines. When a new farm comes out a recipe would be added to make the new old farm's parts. For example woodman axes might have a new buildable seed spitter like the zen tea house that gives 600 seeds plus two crops from Emerald Valley for the recipe. I do not like seeds for crops with no purpose in crafting.

I do most quest. I would like a side farm to decorate and have a story like farmer's square that can be seen on the farm.

  9. I would like to see a Sale Barn feature where we could sell unwanted animals amoung neighbors. LIke the crafted goods feature, We set price...

  10. I'd like to see you make the build-ables on the outside boundaries of our farms movable and store-able once they are finished so we can use them as a decoration on our farms...as they are now we take all the time to build them and they sit uselessly outside the farm boundaries...I'd also like to see you make the other farms where we had to build something outside the boundaries also movable to our farms...I love decorating my farms and thes would add great beauty to them...I do hope you will use my idea...thank you.

  11. More outfits on each farm theme please, My avi wants to be styling

  12. More creativity in designing farms, groaned at another fairy one. FV does a good job designing horses and deer but their farms of late have been a bit blah. I like a lot of the ideas presented. And make the items one gets from the other quests be worth the effort. And not just be the same items one can get easily from one of the buildings like the fertilize all one gets from the beehive. I have stopped doing those sticking to the quests for the newest farms and the chapter 9 quests.
