We’re brainstorming new ideas for FarmVille and need your help!
By Andrew Bell, Executive Producer, FarmVille
Over the last few weeks, we’ve had a lot of fun working hand-in-hand with everyone in the Dirt Farmer community to get closer to what matters most to our loyal FarmVille players. Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to check out the interview with Heather Sinclair, our fearless general manager, or the really fun trip down FarmVille memory lane with Mark Skaggs. We’re most proud of the recent changes we kicked off as a result of your feedback, but we’re not stopping there.
We make changes and improvements to FarmVille on a daily basis, but once every few months we do something special. We set aside time where anyone on the team can pitch in and work on a new idea. It’s our chance to empower everyone on the team to think outside the box be super creative.
Here’s how it works:
Teams break up into small groups and take two days to work on a new improvement to FarmVille.
We like to keep rules and constraints light so people can let their creativity shine, but there are just two guidelines:
Ideas must be a feature for FarmVille (no new games)
Fit into the event’s specific theme
This is where you guys come in. The theme for this year is “We’re listening” and in the spirit of listening, we’re opening up the ideas for the Dirt Farmer community to vote!
When we host the event, we’ll have a Dirt Farmer staff member watch each presentation and give their real-time feedback. Next week, after our team meets to review the ideas, we’ll share them with the Dirt Farmer community for voting.
And speaking of listening, let us know any FarmVille questions, thoughts or ideas in the comments below. Please note that all comments and feedback are public and subject to Zynga terms of service. In short that means the company is free to use any of your input without restriction, which is great because we want to consider as many good ideas as possible.
