Farmville Organic Crops & Crafts Guide

Farmville has released Organic crops & crafts to our farms! This is an all new type of crop with some uniqueness to it’s mastery. Thanks to Dirt Farmer Ioana for testing and images for this guide Check out the details below & please do share with friends if you find the post helpful.
The Organic Crops are regular and limited edition crops that can be certified as organic. Organic certification comes from harvesting 4,200 of the crop. This will grant you an organic mastery sign, double XP, double coins and more bushels going forward. If you have not mastered the regular version of an Organic crop, each plot that you harvest will count towards both regular and Organic mastery.

To identify which crops can be certified Organic, look for the leaf in a circle icon in the market. If a crop has not been certified it will appear washed out, if it has been certified, it will be bright green. In the Screenshot below, the Wheat has been certified, while the others have not yet.

So what exactly do they mean by more bushels? Certified Organic Crops give both Organic bushels and bushels for the regular crop. As you can see in the below images, the number granted can be the same or different.

Note: The Organic bushels will be granted FIRST, you must have enough room in your stalls to hold all you get of both or you will LOSE the regular bushels.

You will need BOTH types of bushels if you are a crafter. The Organic bushels to make the all new Organic Crafts and the regular bushels to make your previously existing recipes.

Also note the left and right arrows on the below Bushels Summary images. You can use them to scroll between the summary of Organic and regular bushels that you have found. You will always see Organic on the initial pop-up and have to use the arrow to find out how many regular you received.

The Organic feature will have it’s own unique Mastery billboard. Here is a preview of the six stages of the billboard

There are 20 all new crops involved in this feature to start with. Here is a look at the bushels for the organic crops.

  1. Where do you get the normal wheat from? I now have so much organic wheat and am unable to make pumpkin bread.

    1. By planting it or from your neighbors, like everything else.

    2. Organic bushels come up first. Make sure you have enough room for all the organic and the regular or you lose the regular when you harvest. For me, this means harvesting with the tractor 4x4s instead of using the turbo if I already have lots of bushels!

  2. If I'm correct ,for the moment you can seed only Organic Wheat from Market, when you harvest ,you should get both, regular and Organic bushels, be careful, the Organic bushels overrule the regular ones, this means that when you have not enough place for both kind of Wheat bushels, the Organic will take the place of the Regular Wheat bushels !
so make place in your Market Stall to get both kind of Wheat, after harvesting you still can remove the Organic if you wish ...

  3. Organic crops are complete rubbish! They're just using space in market stall!!!
If there is some new feature, let me choose to use it or not.

  8. I It might be useful for all of the critics of organic crops to understand something about the alternatives, namely the GMO crops that are poisoning agriculture. You might want to look at the new book called 'The Poison Planters' which exposes this.

  9. Too bad Farmville has deteriorated so much.. 1) recently two new farms were added and no additional market stall storage.. 2) can't make choices on planting organic or regular crops, 3)never have gotten bushels from the trading post from neighbors.. 4) most of the time, can't give gifts to neighbors after getting something from facebook wall, 5) farming is slow with any browser.6) helps to express issues rather than give it up!!!!!!!

  10. Thank you to Anonymous for suggesting 'The Poison Planters,' this is an enormously critical issue that everybody needs to be aware of. Educate yourselves and beware of GMO foodstuffs on the market (and they are *everywhere* - practically everything with corn, soy, and canola in it just for starters); buy organic or grow your own using non-GMO seed whenever possible. That said, this thread is not about being critical of organic crops in real life, it is about our Farmville crops. Zynga has implemented another burdensome feature to complicate the game, and most of us are not happy about it! The ongoing addition of new crops, the multitude of Australian ones for starters, without expanding the capacity of market stalls is frustrating to start with. Now, needing to _leave room for both organic and regular crops_ is pretty much a game killer for crafting; how do you second-guess how much room you're going to need for organic bushels just so you can get the needed regular ones?

  14. I had room for both organic and regular, but only received the organic?

  15. how do i craft the organic items? i looked in the craftshop but found nothing about it. thanks

  16. The only thing available to plant for my wheat is the organic...which I do not want. So I end up with NO regular bushels of wheat. What's the point here with organic anyways???

    ReplyDelete
  17. Everyone here says they don't want organic, it is useless, don't have enough room for it, .....!!
I say, OK let there be organic if they want it, but let us use organic also for regular recipes. If I decide to use something extra into standard production it is totally up to me.
If you want to make an organic recipe, OK only organic thing can be used, but why not to use organic into regular recipe, this just doesn't make sense.

    1. Agreed.
They should make the organic bushels available to use for regular recipes.

      some rants,
I harvest 2000 (or more) plots of carrots throughout my farms (I filled all my farms with one type of crops) and only got 4 regular bushels and 4 organic ones (1 bushel+3 from mastery bonus). Is it me or is it getting harder to yield bushels these days? I notice that I only got 1 bushel (means only a bushel yield from all of my farm if I filled them with one type of crop) for each type of crop each time I'm harvesting, is it always work this way?
