What to do in case of an EMERGENCY
When YOUR Farm will not Load...Keeps going Out of Sync...Keeps getting error pages or basically will not work properly. It most likely may be a Farmville or Facebook issue that you have NO control over. Sometimes however there are certain Actions you can take to "fix" your own Farm.

NOTE: THERE ARE SOLUTIONS FOR MANY PROBLEMS CONTAINED WITHIN THIS POST. TO SEARCH FOR A SPECIFIC SOLUTION, HOLD DOWN THE CTRL KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD AND TYPE THE LETTER F. THEN A BOX WILL APPEAR IN THE UPPER RIGHT ON CHROME BASED BROWSERS AND LOWER LEFT ON MOZILLA FIREFOX BASED BROWSERS. TYPE A KEYWORD AND HIT ENTER AND YOUR BROWSER WILL BRING YOU TO THAT KEYWORD.
Clearing Your Browser
It may seem like a simple task for most. For others maybe not so simple. Each Browser is different and is located in a different place. So no "one" set of instructions work. This link has step-by-step directions for each Browser
Clearing Your Flash Cache
Clearing your Flash Cache is also rather simple. Still I've met very savvy players who never have. The Adobe Flash is the "motor" that runs what you see on your Farm. Often, when items will not load and only appear as dots, it's because your Flash Cache hasn't been cleaned out lately. If you are unable to load right after an enhance, or a new item is released, this may result from a bad flash cookie and if that is the reason, clearing flash cache will get you back in.
Also check the main Adobe site any updates you may have missed click here.

The Facebook Bookmark on the left goes through some redirection which adds memory. Try loading the game through a clean, direct link http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/
If you are still having difficulty loading, check your browser extensions - browser extensions take memory and if you have too many it will make it difficult to load your farm. Disable or remove any you do not need or use. In particular, remove any timeline remover or old newsfeed type of extensions. These work by convincing your computer that you are using a very old browser that cannot support timeline. This can cause a lot of issues with your farm, which is meant to run on modern browsers, not a ten year old one. It also opens up your computer to malware, as security patches to browsers in the past several years are blocked by the conversion that timeline removers do. Even if you have used one for a very long time without issue, one wrong click can still create a very expensive computer problem. These types of extensions also make the browser appear too old to view the Zynga support site as well - so you are cheating yourself out of support if you have it by using one. Make sure your browser is up to date - here are simple instructions for Chrome.

Changing Browsers or Loading a second Browser
Changing Browsers or Loading a second Browser
Some Browsers just work better for certain things
IE (Internet Explorer)
The standard Browser loaded on most store bought computers
NOTE: Even if you have Google Chrome set to automatically update, there is an occasional need to update manually. It is wise to check frequently for updates by clicking on the 3 lines in upper right of browser then "Help and About" and then "About Google Chrome" If it requires an update you may need to click "Update now" or "relaunch Google Chrome to finish updating"
If you have lost System (Adobe ) Flash in Chrome, click here
Chrome and Fire Fox seem to be the Gamer's choice...They run much faster than IE and have fewer problems...I still have IE on my computer and just use Chrome for Farmville...There may be hiccups with the compatibility between a Browser and Farmville...So having more than one can be a QUICK FIX...Just because you load a Browser doesn't mean you have to make it your "default" or main browser. Having more than one could get you back on your Farm. If IE has a problem...Just switch to Chrome or Fire Fox. (Note - if you have an older computer/less RAM Fire Fox will most likely work better for you, if you have a super fast computer, Chrome will more likely work better for you) There are also many alternatives to choose from.
If you are not happy with your current browser, here are some others you might want to try. (REMEMBER ANY TIME YOU ADD ANY FREE SOFTWARE INCLUDING A NEW BROWSER TO USE THE "CUSTOM' OR "ADVANCED" INSTALL OPTIONS AND UNCHECK ANYTHING UNFAMILIAR. MANY FREE SOFTWARES (EVEN FLASH AND JAVA) COME BUNDLED WITH ADWARE OR UNWANTED PROGRAMS AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THIS OPTION TO OPT OUT OF INSTALLING THOSE)
If you prefer a CHROME look and feel
If you opt for Comodo Dragon and your farm runs slow, you may want to disable Comodo's bundled extensions. While none of them are harmful, they do take memory better used for your farm and if you have a good antivirus program running on your system you do not need them.
To do this click the 3 lines in upper right, then more tools then extensions. Uncheck the "enabled" box or click the trash can to remove the following extensions - Adsanitizer, web inspector, Comodo drag and drop, comodo page share service and privdog. You will want to disable privdog in most cases, as it can block your Facebook pop-ups to share from the game.
If you opt for Comodo dragon and flash won't load follow the directions in this post
OPERA NEXT (AKA OPERA BETA)
If you opt to try Opera, we recommend turning on Opera Turbo which is done by clicking the O in the upper left of the browser and making sure Turbo is checked. (Click on it to check it if not. ) Enabling Opera Turbo will result in having to click an arrow to load your farm - but it will also result in having to click an arrow to load ads and other elements on the page, saving your memory to help your farm run better until you are finished playing and ready to view those other items.
Note If you opt for Iron make sure you download from the link that looks like this. There are many ads on the page and you don't want to download something else by accident
If you prefer a FIREFOX look and feel
PALE MOON (Note Pale Moon has not been updated for a while and the DF click trap remover will not be compatible with it until it is )
Sometimes you just need a total re-set...This is one of those things I do not advise...Although it rare cases it may be necessary. (Note - if you are a member of the VIP program removing and re-installing Farmville will cancel your subscription)
Click PRIVACY SETTINGS
Find and click FARMVILLE
Then click the X and REMOVE Farmville
Then click here to reinstall FARMVILLE and Re-Join...Your Farm should re-set itself to proper guidelines.
AGAIN...This should be a last resort
Information is Power
You do need to know if it is Farmville that's broken or your computer. So you need a "weather report" to see if you are alone or if everyone is having the same problems

If you cannot load Farmville due to a WHITE PAGE - this can either be a server issue or an issue with the path that your internet provider takes to connect with your server. If it is a PATH issue, then the workaround in this post will change your path and allow you to load the game.
The other purpose of this post is that some internet service providers limit how much traffic you can get from a certain source - even if you are paying for a very fast plan. Using the extensions listed in this post will allow you to circumvent their throttle and load the game.
